    Update: ended up picking a 2011 CBR, in the end it came down to the CBR was the cleanest bike for the money. Minor scratches on the fairings in the usual places but last owner was meticulous with maintenance which was the deciding factor

    A street triple would 100% be the sensible choice, as would most other naked bikes. But I just love the way the racer replicas of this time period looked, and I have other bikes to be my sensible bike haha

    40% reliability, 30% comfort and 30% performance. I’m coming from riding pre 90’s bikes so I’m used to fixing odds and ends every couple rides. And I’m young enough I can deal with the ergos of supersports, and have other bikes to fill the touring need

    So I’m looking at purchasing a supersport (for the sake of this thread we’ll ignore insurance costs) and my budget is around 6500 but can afford to go up to around 8000. Obviously cheaper is better but I’d rather pay more for a clean bike with service records. Around this price range I’m looking...
