    Cost of Insurance for motorbikes!!

Snowfall isn't really the deciding factor for me; it's more the salt on the road. There are plenty of days during the winter that the roads are clear enough (of snow) to ride on, but the inch of salt makes it pretty unappealing.

    Can Am Spyder

My neighbour got one (whatever the smaller one is), and I rode it home from the dealer for her. I hated it due to: odd ergo and riding position - left my wrists sore after a 15 min ride felt jittery - even with the amount of power it has, i would not want this thing on the highway always felt...

Any WeeStrom owners in the London area?

I don't know what year you're looking for, but I doubt you would be able to get a much better deal on a newish one than this: http://www.kijiji.ca/v-street-cruisers-choppers/london/2015-suzuki-dl650-v-strom-touring/1195587940?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true Since it's a dealership, they should...

My guess (and only a guess) would be rectifier / regulator. Try #2 above.

Is it really necessary to replace your helmet every 3-5 years?

Just spoke to an Arai dealer. Because they are hand laid fiberglass and 1 piece membrane, they are 7-11 years. Sounds better to me.

Is it really necessary to replace your helmet every 3-5 years?

Styrofoam liner absorbs your dirty thoughts. That's about as valid as anything else i've read, and since styrofoam takes 1+ million years to biodegrade, that's a lot of dirty thoughts in landfill.

Is it really necessary to replace your helmet every 3-5 years?

This is what Shoei has to say: Helmet Replacement Ultimately, the useful service life of a safety helmet is dependent on the intensity and frequency of its use. Helmet replacement is recommended even if only one of the under-mentioned points applies: The helmet was subjected to an...

Is it really necessary to replace your helmet every 3-5 years?

I keep on reading that this is a thing, but have found absolutely no testing or scientific evidence that there is any reason for this. I am familiar with helmet company rationale of adhesives breaking down, uv / heat / vibration degradation, better protective technologies over a 5 year period...

Finally happened - car backed into my parked bike and knocked it over....

This happened to me a few years back. My neighbor, after a yard sale, had some free stuff on the curb. The idiot pulled around my bike to check out the free stuff, and then backed into my bike when she was leaving. Luckily the neighbor saw it happen and got her info. My bike ended up in better...

    Michelin PR4s

My last V had a heidenau rear and distanzia front, which was a great combo for gravel, with decent treadlife (astonishing for the scout) on both, but the scout really sucked on road. Given that about 5% of my riding was gravel, the street tires were an easy switch.

    Michelin PR4s

Just switched my first pair off my Versys at 26500 km. Still not down to the wear bars, but squared in the back and scalloped up front to the point that I just wanted them switched. These were amazing tires in the rain up to almost 25000 km, smooth to ride on, and much less squishy than I would...

    Tire Change?

Just replaced mine. Still had about 1mm above wear line in back, and 2mm in front, but the rear was really squared off, and the front was scalloping quite a bit.The combined effect was somewhat unpredictable behaviour in corners, so i just switched them out.
