How many close calls have you had

Ok, I've been riding for four months now, and the first month was on (givin the fact that I was still nervous to ride on main streets and highways) but since then, I've been almost hit or killed by stupid cagers at least once a week. Sometimes twice in one day. I want to know is it just me, are...

another new rider on a 600

Welcome and enjoy the bike. There is nothing wrong with starting on a 600. As long as your a mature rider then you'll be fine. I started on a 650, my brother in law started on an r6, and a buddy of mine started on a gsxr750. As long as your patient with the learning process you'll be fine. Enjoy...

Waiting to make a left and got hit

I don't know about the rest of you but when u ride, I like to enjoy it. I understand the safety of leathers, but I don't see how u can enjoy riding in +30 degrees in leathers sweating your balls off. I just use my icon vest

just wanted to share - experience today at dealership

I agree the sv650 is a v twin and has less power then the inline fours therefor in my opinion is fine for a beginners bike. I just couldn't see myself in a 250 and the only reason I didn't get a 600ss is the insurance. I just couldn't justify spending 300 to 400 a month on insurance, and the...

just wanted to share - experience today at dealership

I was gonna get a 250 but felt it was too small, I'm 5'9 185. Got an sv650s instead and i'm glad I did. There's nothing wrong with getting a 600 as your first bike, as long as your confident in yourself and are patient to learn on it. I've been riding now for 4 months and can handle the bike...

    VOS Motors

I got my 09 sv650s from them, great guys they let me keep the bike there for a couple of days after I was suppose to pick it up so I can do the motorcycle safety course. My bike was 09 but was new with 0kms so was in excellent shape. I recommend them, and when I upgrade in a year or two, I plan...
