Last time I bought used bike the seller made me a bill of sale. The amount was the actual blue book value of that motorcycle ... I paid taxes on that. I wouldn't suggest going crazy and claiming let's say $1000 sale on $7000 actual value, this might raise some red flags.

I bought Vstrom 1000 for the same reason. Riding with my wife on it is super comfortable, she's quite happy.

FZ8 is awesome bike ... 4 banger with smooth power delivery and lots of torque.

You can't escape wind on either of these two bikes ... highway ride could be tiring after an hour or two. The good thing is there is no wind buffeting. You're getting blasted with clean air which is way better than installing any aftermarket windscreen.

I would like to join you but 6:30 is way too early for me ... maybe next time.
