I heard that balancing with dynobeads isn't really good... I'm often changing my tires on my trackbike and I read somewhere that for track use the dynobeads are not recommended.
Better solution: buy your own tire machine and balancer and start doing your own.
Worked for me... If you own more then 1 bike and find yourself changing tires every year, it is more then worth the cost.
I think the Triumph will be a more reliable bike, but man, that MV tugs at some heart strings with its super sexy Italian Exotica. It sounds better in that video too. Looks are subjective, but the Red and Silver is such a classic paint job that harkens back to the early Racing days of MV in...
Living north of the GTA.. where much more salt and brine gets thrown down on the roads... I wait until the temps have been plus side of zero for several days with lots of rain. As soon as it dries off and is above 0 after these conditions, the bike is out.
Need to wait until all that salt and...
I'm driving down. Leave the bike at home. There will be plenty of riding the rest of the year. That weekend is to enjoy the sights, sound, racing and cold beer.
My wife and I got the videopass again this year and have been following the testing..
The CRT bikes aren't doing near as good as I had hoped they would... Good to see Edwards enjoying himself developing that bike though.
Also booked tickets for Indianapolis in August! Super excited. Anyone...
I normally ride a 2001 CBR600F4i and also my wife's 2009 ZX-6R when she isn't using it.. Had the opportunity to borrow a friends '11 Street Triple R for a day... He let me take it for a full day just fill it back up. Did a nice ~300km loop through the Muskoka's. I can certainly say that a...
Anyone been following so far?

Don't buy ebay china rotors. They are terrible. I went through 2 sets as a test for my CBR250RR. First set came warped out of the box. 2nd set warped after one heat cycle. I said f* it and ordered EBC pro-lite's shortly after. Never looked back.
I've had 4 Hindle Exhausts over the past few years on various bikes. I've never had a problem with them. Love the sound and quality of the product.
Costs are in the labor and machining, not the material. An extra couple inches of aluminum sheet isn't too expensive.

Noone seems to have mentioned this, but your junk is going to sit only inches away from that rear cylinder head. That is going to be one sweaty uncomfortable ride once its warmed up. Still drop dead sexy to me though!!
If you think full size track bikes are expensive!! You should see the prices some guys were spending on those pocket bikes to race them!! You can get a full size 600 track prepped for 2-5g. An italian made racing pocket bike that is competitive can easily cost just as much money.

Got rear ended on the highway in cottage traffic. Bike needs new tail plastics now! :( Thankfully it was only the plastics that took damage. Everything else is straight and the bike stayed up right! Woohoo.
Yet again.. camped out in the usual spot, had a great party, great racing and a great time. Anyone make it over the CASCAR event and see that guy write off his nice Dodge pickup? We were infield turn 2 on the ridge and saw the 2 crashes in the AM. Sportbike. Scary times when you don't see the...
Older bikes are more comfortable!! I ride a 1992 CBR250RR and an 01 F4i.. my Wife's 09 ZX-6R is a torture rack in comparison. Maybe its my inner-old-man speaking?
Weird.... The only bike shop in my town is an independent Honda / Yamaha dealer. And the parts are not at a premium. They are on par with market value.
