Nobody has any thing good to say about S.O.N's service dept. but you can't ignore the fact that they are one of the top selling Suzuki motorcycle retailers in Canada. It may be horse *****, but salesman I spoke with claims they sell 1000 bikes a year.
Yes I took 112 to the peak of Spruce Knob. It is also called Brier Gap Road. It runs off 28/33 between Riverton and 33. The road was very twisty and well paved as far as I can remember. The climb takes around 30 minutes because it rides along a ridge (similar to BRP) before it begins its final...
Why don't you go on some group rides with some female riders so you can get to know them and they don't feel threatened. You're asking a lot expecting a stranger of the opposite sex to accompany you on an over night trip. That's my polite response. What I really want to say is that your post...
I've done the Canaan Valley and Mountain and Streams rides. I am sure you'll enjoy them. I haven't done the other rides, but I've book marked your link for future reference. Be sure to ride up to the top of Spruce Knob when you're in the Seneca Rocks area. It's not to be missed. The highlights...
The town of Elkins is a nice base from which to explore the area. It is at the corner of 219 and 33. I stayed at the Super 8 there. I believe it cost me aproximately $65.00 with a free breakfast. From there you are with in range of places like Snow Shoe Mountain, Spruce Knob, the Caverns...
I have taken the 219 route and it just takes too long. I'll be blasting down 79 also on my next trip to WV. Some times the super slab is a necessary evil.
A couple of years ago I was at Rosey Toes when another customer showed up riding a crotch rocket, wearing a chest protector while shirtless, shorts, and sandals.
Beautiful pictures. However, you guys posting pictures of out west aren't playing fair (LOL).
It's refreshing to find other riders who seek out beautiful scenery in their rides. In my mind, if a road has the most beautiful curves but no scenery, then the picture is lacking.
I don't understand why you'd want to stop for the night at Ellicottville or Bradford. Your desired 500 daily target would get you as far south as Altoona PA. This would put you only 3 hours north of Front Royal VA. for your second day.
If you're simply want to enhance a black garment that is just faded, you can skip the preparation phase However, if you are changing colours, you must remove the original colour first. Especially if existing colour has a thick coat with no open pores. If you do not remove old colour properly...
I recently changed the colour of my teknic leather pants. However, I only dyed the area covering my quadraceps. They were originally silver and got them changed to black. A shoe maker here in Aurora did for $65.00. He did a great job, but I fear that a total colour change would be quite costly...
I took 220 south off of I-68 up to Franklin WV, at which point I took 33 (the prettiest road in the state) through Germany Valley, Seneca Rocks, and Spruce Mountain (WV highest at 4800 ft). 33 will take your breath away. You can ride 33 back to Elkins at the 219 junction.
I just changed my front and rear brake pads and flushed the brakes and clutch. I watched many instructional videos on Youtube and I'm happy to say it all went off with out a hitch. The only problem I had was flushing the clutch. For some reason no fluid would come out when I pumped the clutch...
Thanks for the heads up on Canada's Motorcycle Dr. Sarcasm. They have great prices and free shipping to boot. Will definitely be using them. Btw, I had never heard of them before. Isn't the internet great?
How long they been closed? Their website was done, so I drove by and saw that it was closed. Their customer service wasn't the best but its still sad to see another one close down.
