Hello world,
I'm going to be picking up my new motorcycle next Thursday. It's a ninja 300 if that matters (this is my first motorcycle, I've only ridden during the training course). I've been reading around and watching some videos and I've been getting mixed advice on how to break in the bike...
Wow, did she recently purchase the bike? If the previous owner was paying that little, I should definitely shop around a little more. I'm about to call up Andy right now and see what rates he can get me for liability only
Yeah I plan on keeping whichever bike I get for atleast 2-3 years, i'll upgrade as I approach 25, that should be plenty of time to pick up the ins and outs of the bike and gearing. What is the name of the app?
Yeah well I did take one around a parking lot, but you're right i'll definitely take it out for a longer trip before I make my decision. Didn't even consider suspension and steering too much.
Yeah I've never actually ridden a cruiser for a long period of time, maybe I should though before I buy the bike, don't want to regret it. In terms of a sports touring like a v-storm I can't afford those kinds of bikes let alone insurance. My budget is about 6 grand, and ideally under 150/month...
Yeah the dual sport was only a little bit more surprisingly, but yeah you're right beginner bikes defiantly get more claims I didn't think about that.
Wow $223 a year haha, that's unreal wish I had a time machine.
Ouch man that's like throwing away the cost of the bike every year just to insure it! Yeah the r3 seems like the best option for us, 2grand a year isn't bad.
Alright i'll give Mr.Singh a call tomorrow morning, thanks for the advice.
Even if the companies went strictly of cc (which seems ridiculous) the 250cc should have been cheaper than the 320cc right?
The agent said that the quote he gave me was "the cheapest of 18 insurance companies he...
Wow a phantom 750 would be so sweet. What are you paying for the 600 supersport? Close to 7 grand I'm assuming? I'm definitely gunna keep shopping till I get something affordable though.
Hello world,
I'm finishing my Motorcycle Training Course this Sunday and I'm going to get a bike at the start of next week. I'm looking at all 3 options: cruisers, sports bikes and dual sports. Specifically: 2005 Suzuki GZ250 vs. 2016 Yamaha R3 vs 2015 Yamaha xt250.
I really like how...
Will do, I contacted two brokers as well to see what they come back with, they're gunna send me an e-mail tomorrow. If not I'll ask Aviva to send the quote by e-mail.
Ok, got it. So I'll wait 60 days for the official license.
Meanwhile...I'll insure with Aviva anyway since I'm already with them for my auto insurance and got a quote for the bike I was looking at with them and it was affordable so this works out.
Thank you guys so much.
Right I meant the motorcycle training course, thanks for that clarification.
That's awesome though! So I'll get my m2 license right away, I won't have to wait. That's so exciting.
Thanks for the info!
Hello,
Hope this is posted in the correct section.
Anyway, I got my m1 on the 14th of this month and I'm going to be doing the MSF course next weekend.
I think I understood that after you get your m1, you have to wait 60 days before you can obtain your m2 license. HOWEVER you can complete the...
Hey have you checked out Daytona Motor Sports at Steeles and Weston? They have gear that is cheap relative to the other stores around. I recently got my m1 and bought most of my gear through them. The staff was really nice and they had a decent selection as well. Check out their website.
