    Rider down

A lot of pedestrians aren't paying attention to where they're walking because they're too busy texting/talking/playing on their phones, etc. Unfortunately this happens quite often, I've had close calls with them for similar reasons. But in this case we don't know (yet) and it could be...

Mavis Road worst cagers in the West end.

That's just about any road in Woodbridge/Vaughan area, from what I've seen... Some of the most aggressive and/or inattentive drivers I've ever seen there. It's one thing the usual "SMIDSY" drivers, but most of the definite attempts at running me/other riders I know off the road, have been there.

    Luggage Straps

I know for sure that Snow City here in Scarborough sells Rok Straps, as does A Vicious Cycle in Dundee if you're ever (way) out that way. They're around $23-25 for the larger more common size, and I think in the range of $15 or so for the smaller size. I would call Kahuna and see if perhaps...

    helmet cameras...

Jamie, I'd suggest some way of "dampening" the vibration that may occur with the camera mounted on the bike. Though I haven't tried it on the tank yet (have the suction cup mount but haven't tried it) I did have it mounted to my handlebars via tripod mount before, and the vibration made the...

    helmet cameras...

I've owned the ContourHD1080, original GoPro HD Hero, and now the HD Hero2. Some points between the three: Audio quality, worst to best: ContourHD, HD1, HD2. Explanation: ContourHD's mic is good if not moving/at very low speed, but picks up nothing but wind noise once you're on the move...

I love spam from China. It's the best flavour.

    3D go pro hero?

I've unfortunately got no personal experience running 3D through my computer, nor with the GoPro2 yet, but what I do know is that for "proper" 3D, you need a 3D-capable video card (most of the newer nVidia/ATI cards I think?) and monitor. Unless things have changed, generally the monitor has to...

Every Thursday night - Lakeshore and Leslie???

I hear it's amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on Hara-kiri Rock. I need scissors. 61!

    Motorcycle Photo Hunt Game

Does it count if you're the *reason* it's (no longer) green or blue? :P

    What would YOU do?

Agreed, pick-up and leave a note if possible. I would hate to see my bike knocked over/dropped and left that way. That pic though... it looks as though the owner may have parked it in such a spot that it was in the way of pedestrian traffic. I wouldn't be surprised if someone was ****** off...

    Accessory Outlets (12v)

Something like this would be excellent for a bike with lots of electrical add-ons: http://aviciouscycle.ca/MainPages/productpage.aspx?productid=3516 I could have sworn these used to be closer to the $80 mark though, and you can definitely find/build something similar for a LOT less than that...

Where and what was the closes call you've had that scared the crap out of you

This is one of my closest calls, and entirely would have been my own fault/error, and was from mid-2011 season when I was on a Ninja 650R. 2nd time I'd had an incident like this, the first was back on my 250R and under similar conditions. Learned my lesson after this one. :P...

"New" Tires in the Rain - how many km?

Do you have the original Tourance, or the new Tourance EXP? I picked up my '05 Wee with new EXPs, which are getting pretty worn down, and am curious how the non-EXP line will perform when I switch them soon. Reviews and comparisons between the two seem to offer conflicting opinions, but what...

Comfotable bike for a passenger that's not a full touring bike...

+1 for the V-Strom (DL650). Have had mine since last November, and after coming from a Ninja 250R and 650R, the V-Strom is by far the best (of those 3) for comfort and suits our riding style better. My GF loves riding 2up on it vs either of the other bikes; we've done some lengthy rides on it...

    My version of ignition switch

That's a really cool idea, I like it. Are you planning to completely remove the stock ignition etc though, or will it be left intact? I'm just thinking, what happens if you lose your phone or forget it somewhere, or change to a non-Android one etc... would be rather screwed. :P

    Close call, not really!

I can vouch for the Nautilus. Got one installed recently, scared the **** out of a few cagers (and a few distracted pedestrians)... but even laying on the horn still had one idiot cager push into my lane, either unaware or uncaring of my presence. No matter what you do, some people are still...

    I Saw You: V.2.0

If it was around 6PM and 3 of us (an older black R6, a red & silver/white F4i, and my black & silver V-Strom), we were just bored and riding around randomly. Did a west-to-east run of Twyn Rivers, then wound up doing part of Old Finch on a return trip. The guy on the F4i hadn't been through...
