Honda Shadow RS. Not the most powerful cruiser out there but fits what you're looking for in a sporty cruiser. Basically based on the HD 883 Sportster.
Does your Odyssey have a trailer hitch? Uhaul rents their motorcycle trailer for $15, no mileage restrictions. Definitely cheaper than the van and/or truck. Any car with a trailer hitch should be able to haul your Ninja 250 easily.
No I didn't get a bike or make a trade yet. :) This was a hypothetical question. I will be looking to move up in the spring from my zzr250 and was just trying to figure out what happens if a trade presents itself.
Which is exactly why I'm asking... Paying $0 in taxes and explaining it was a straight trade is one thing, but claiming I got the bike for $1 just isn't true in any sense. I definitely don't want to give more $$ to the government...just trying to figure out what the right process is.
Read the winterizing article on the Ninja 250 FAQ. You can also drain the carbs of gas by emptying the bowls. I know it's tempting just staring at the bike but it's best once you store it to leave it off until you are ready to ride it in the spring. Starting it every so often without riding...
Hey man..
I ride a 2006 ZZR250 as well.
I currently run Rotella T6 for oil. Fantastic stuff and not expensive if you get it on sale. I'm 34 and pay $37 per month through State Farm. Google "Ninja 250 faq" and hit up the first link for tons of information.
Fill up your gas tank right up to...
Hey GTAers,
Assuming no money exchange hands, how do they calculate taxes when you go to register the bike at the MTO if you've traded bikes with someone else? Anybody done this?
Cheers,
K
I don't find it too comfortable to ride with a pack on, especially if it's heavy. Seems hotter too. I now strap my backpack down with bungee cords on the passenger seat. Much better.
Hi Ivana,
In 5100km, I'm positive you've counter-steered much more than you've given yourself credit for. All lane changes/turns above 25km per hour require counter-steering to do it. Try just leaning your body without adding input at the steering wheel. The bike will probably slowly drift...
GTAers,
Selling these great motorcycle overpants. The mesh pattern really helps to keep you cool during these hot and hazy days. Combined with CE rated knee pads and abrasion resistance, why wouldn't you want to ride with these?
SOLD
I drove by this one today. From a distance, looked like a blue sport bike of some sort. From the way the cars were positioned, it looked like yet another car left-turning into a plaza smoking an oncoming biker (I could be wrong though..) . A lot of police officers on scene. It looked like...

Hey riders,
I am looking for a used and in decent condition pair of overpants. I'm 5'8 and typically wear 34" pants. Let me know what you have and at what price. Looking for something inexpensive.
Thanks,
K
This topic has been beaten to death for sure. There is a lot of reading about the topic. Check out this site and this link specifically: http://www.bestbeginnermotorcycles.com/why-600cc-motorcycle-not-good-beginner-bike-updated
Here are two stickies from this forum Go check out the New...
Thanks Voc. Noted. New helmet it will be. I will probably pick up mesh riding pants too. My leather ones are old racing ones and way too hot/heavy in the summer.
