    TD MM and mods

[Moderators please delete the thread, it was just a miscommunication with the agent I talked to] I recently got an okay quote from MM and the agent said insurance rules for motorcycles are strict and the bike must be stock. The bike I am looking into buying ('08 ninja 250r) has a fender...

Meloche Monnex lets me pay in 12 payments!

What the ****? I'm 19 and MM quoted me $4080 a year for an '09 ninja 250r liability only...

Maybe you should have read this in my thread:

    Insurance for young rider

You can rabble on all about how much coverage you can get in Ontario (I'm guessing that's what you meant by "Ontario has the richest insurance policy in Canada"), but I wouldn't call $200k liability only much coverage at all for $3767 a year (on a Ninja 250 for a new rider with a clean record)...

    Insurance for young rider

Im in a similar situation Jonatan, nothing but ridiculous rates for young riders. Ontario really needs public auto insurance like BC, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and some other provinces...

More Bull**** from Ontario insurance companies for young riders

Are you seriously that thick? I knew before the thread even started that insurance companies are more worried about legal and medical expenses, my quote doesn't even include collision damage, only liability. I was only using the price of the bike as a gauge on how unbelievably expensive my quote...

More Bull**** from Ontario insurance companies for young riders

The only reason older people pay high auto/bike insurance premiums is if they have proven themselves to be a high risk customer through bad driving/riding in the past. I would be thrilled with $865/year, you're 46 and probably have a steady well paying job, I don't because I'm in university...

More Bull**** from Ontario insurance companies for young riders

I would not bother with a 125, 250 is a perfect starter bike (not too much power, not too little). I'm so ****** off that the generation that is now insuring me didn't have to deal with ANY of this **** when they were my age, no graduated licensing, no ungodly insurance premiums, if you were 16...

I have health insurance that already covers that. So again, nothing out of their deep pockets...

More Bull**** from Ontario insurance companies for young riders

Im in University, but it isn't on the MM list. Does that trip to the emergency room cost the insurance company anything? Nope.

My fleshy body is totally going to do a lot of damage to the front end of that guy's truck turning left in front of me, makes sense.

19 years old 2009 Ninja 250r (I don't actually have the bike yet) G2 M2 (had it since september 2011) Clean record on everything Minimum coverage, liability only: TD: $4080/y John Duffy: $3767/y Where else do I go for a quote? The quotes are $1k more than what the bike is worth... This is...

Should i get collision insurance or not?
