A few of my buddies have shaft drive bimmers without problems. The chain drive was the only concession from my new bike wish list. Initial reviews are hitting the net... I'm stoked about the bike and the next couple of months waiting for my super adventure to arrive is gonna be brutal...

Thanks. I think shaft drive would be more convenient as well. The chain was the only concession when I selected the KTM. At some point I want to take this beast into the dirt and I read too many stories about BMW final drive failing in the tough stuff. The 1290SA is basically the same as...

The cornering abs is one of the main reasons I got the 1290. There has been times in my motorcycling career that the feature would have been REALLY helpful!

Agreed. Over the years I modified my Katana to suit my preferred riding position and surprisingly the KTM 1190 was almost exactly the same position. I suppose the big(ger) dual sport bikes fit the bill on a lot of different accounts. A few select modifications turns a grand tourer into a single...

Indirectly... saved the PDI and delivery plus discount on first service. As a brand new model I wasn't expecting any movement on msrp. The KTM pricing is exactly the same as the 1200GSA with luggage.

I put a deposit down on the 1290 Super Adventure a few weeks ago. It looks like KTM is pushing more into the mainstream. :)

So after almost a year of deliberations I decided to buy the 2015 KTM 1290 Super Adventure. I own a 2005 Suzuki Katana 750 and have put 80,000kms on it. It's been great but I thought it was time for something a bit different (and a bit the same). I want to get into a bit of (soft) off...

Anyone got a source for the moulded (fitted) ear plugs. I have a set now and the urethane coating is almost gone. I don't know if they can be recoated or if I need a new set. That being said a set of ear plugs is a better investment for long rides than a corbin seat. ;)

Anyone have a source for the urethane form fitted ear plugs in the gta? I find ear plugs really reduce fatigue on long rides.
