I have a couple Aprilia RS250s, as much fun as they are on the track, I think it would really suck as a street bike. Now granted mine are in track trim and run premix, oil injection is gone. I can see if you lived right next to a winding mountain road or some other utopian motorcycle road...
The bike with the exhaust issue is the other one. It is not fixed, I do in fact have the wrong parts so I have to either order the proper flange from someone that sells Jolly Moto or just get a new set since the Jolly motos are pretty banged up anyway. I did get a chance to run that bike last...
You must be on the Aprilia Forum and your right I got it for a steal. The guy I bought it from was a stand up guy too, lots of people offered him more money for it after we made a deal. Would have been easy for him to say the hell with it and sell it to the first guy showing up. Looking...
I have a Klim Traverse Jacket and Pants. I am very happy with them. They are extremely water proof. I bought mine at DSP before they were sold to the new place as well. I have had them three years now and they have held up very well and I drive a fair bit in all weather. I can only imagine...
Alright got the bike without the exhaust issue running. Going to try and get to GBM on Friday I just need to get the day off first :) and hope from warmer weather then they are predicting.
And a pic of it running, outside of course it smokes the place up in a hurry otherwise
I live in...
Came with the bike. I think someone just rigged it to work with what they had. There is no way to tighten it up on the exhaust that I can find. Thanks for the input not sure what I will do. The exhaust took some beating in its previous life, I might just retire it anyway. Doesn't help me...
DownUnder,
Can you take a look at this thread I posted in the Apriliaforum and see if you can shed some light as to my exhaust situation since you are familiar with the Jolly Motos
http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/showthread.php?306490-Jolly-Moto-installation-issues
Any insight would be...
Thought I would get my bikes ready for hopefully Friday at GBM. So I cleaned carbs. No fun btw.
I then wrestled with my exhaust for a while and still didn't get it to fit right, I think it was installed with the wrong parts originally.
So I still have to drain coolant, somehow fix that...
That's awesome Kellen, thanks for the pic. Just to update this thread in the end I ordered one from Best4lesstrailers it will be ready around June 11 hopefully. I did end up going with a 6x10 because I want to use it to store all my stuff as well. I think the 5x8 would have been fine for the...
Do you know the weight of your trailer unloaded? Also do you have any pics of your trailer? I think I am going to go check them out this week if I can get up there. I heard they have a bit of a waiting list to get a trailer made though. Went and saw a 5x8 aluminum today it was a Neo in great...
The PA comes on sale a couple times a year for $49. That is when I bought mine. Which if I remember correctly was about the taxes on my Baxley. The Baxley is a superior product no doubt but at $49 you can't beat the PA one. The Baxley does a better job holding the bike upright with no straps...
Ok I found a 6x10 used all aluminum for sale near me. The problem is its black, does anyone have a black trailer they use for track days and is it as hot inside as I imagine it would be? Is it better to just stay clear of a black one?
Thanks for all the replies and Thank you Kellen especially for the pic that helps me visualize the space better. I am going to go look at some new ones this weekend, but hope that something used comes up that will be cheaper. I have a feeling this is going to be a costly hobby!
One more reason I am glad to live near this track. That being said, are practice days still open to trackday riders this year at GBM/Soar? Are we welcome to come on May 9th and 10th or just the Fridays before the weekends?
I have actually looked at their website. I was hoping to get an aluminum frame as well, but I should go check them out their prices seem very reasonable. Do you know how much yours weighs empty?
I bought a couple track bikes last year. I have a landscaping trailer that I used last year (the two times I made it out before the weather got cold) I found that to be less then ideal. I would like to get an enclosed one. I read all the trailer posts on this forum, but I still have a few...
Someone mentioned earlier about Speedworx (Racer5). They have a very affordable suit (even more so if you have taken their course). I have seen that suit crashed a few times and it seems to hold up well. I am actually considering replacing my two piece with it. I looked at many threads about...
