I have a fascination with insurance

So I was looking at TD MM's online quotes...and since I'm a new rider this year I got quoted 2,900. I got curious for next season...so I changed the info as if I bought the bike last year, got my license last year, changed my age to a year older, etc. I got quoted 1,300/year. THAT'S AN INSANE...

    Insurance 20 year old male.2012 Honda CBR250

Don't lose hope. I'm 21, 2012 ninja 250 (new), M1 still, I'm paying 1,500 with TD MM until Feb. They pro-rate your insurance so make sure you ASK about it when you call in for a quote!

    Newbie with a few questions.

Honestly, it really isn't very hard to learn. I DO highly recommend the motorcycle safety course though, you're almost guaranteed to pass it and obtain your M2. You also use bikes provided by the school you choose to learn from and it is worth every penny. I did it with Learning Curves recently...

    Pro-rated with TD MM

Yeah it'll be higher because it would be coverage from march-October. I am a new rider so it would drop a lot too (I hope!)

My rate seems high but possible

Pro rate with TD MM till feb it'll be around 1600. Then SF for your 2nd year of riding would be cheap as ****

    2012 Ninja 250

What dealer?! They didn't charge you handling + freight? @maxgohan, they're a little too pricy unfortunately or I totally would have :(

    2012 Ninja 250

Yes I plan on just riding it in the city and as a commuter kind of bike. Won't be pushing it to its limits and def. have no NEED for a bigger bike! Just was wondering the original cost of the bike.

    2012 Ninja 250

Yeah I plan on riding it. Thing is, people are sellin 09s for 3.8 (min I've seen) with a few thousand k's. it'll come to like 400$ less than a new one, which ill be able to resell at a higher price too

    2012 Ninja 250

I'm getting a new one for 4,300 + tax (freight+handling included) while people are selling used ones for 3.8-4.3 with like 2k-10k on them already. Safety + towing to my place + licensing etc will end up costing like 200-300 so doesn't it make sense to just get one new? Will have a better resale...

    Quick question about insurance

I'm 21 Got my M1 2 weeks ago. Had my G license for 5 years (in 2 months) Got quoted $250/month with State Farm for a 09 kawa Ninja 250. Check them out. If not, TD MM had quoted me around $3300/year for that bike. $6000 is insane, who are you getting these quotes from?

    Insurance minor issue

So TD MM's online quote charged me 250/month for insurance. I also checked with State Farm (180/month), but here's the problem. They need you to have your G licensing for 5 years. I would reach 5 years on August 1st (I'm 21). Wondering whether anyone knows of an insurance that will cover me...
