Is there a list of sanctioned events? if there are any this year? I will still look into this, however I've come to terms with the fact it may be a couple years before I ride the gixer. Either way its still going to look pretty sitting in my garage with my other toys :)

So I did get a quote from State Farm for $3800 lol. So I've purchase another bike to get some experience on paper, 2009 GS500F, I have not yet called about insurance but I hope that this will be a little more affordable. I believe the bike is not considered "restricted" at least it is not on...

I am thinking that I will probably buy a more insurance friendly bike for now and insure the gixer as vintage and only ride it in rallies etc. until I have some time under my belt.

Thanks, that's what I am hoping. I no longer have the need for speed, I am mostly in love with the bike for nostalgic reasons. It'll be a "Sunday Driver" only.

its a done deal, I traded for a 71 lemans convert. The bike is actually a 93, but its painted with the 91 color scheme. I don't have the bike in my garage yet. I am hoping to complete the deal this weekend. will post some pics as soon as I get it :)

Yeah I understand it will be expensive until I have some experience on paper, however I haven't been able to find a company that will insure thebike without 5yrs with an M2. :(

Just bought a 91 GSXR 1100. I only have M1. (don't judge, I am 50 and been riding bikes since I was 5 lol). my problem is finding insurance. anyone have any suggestions for restricted bikes?
