PartRecall Notice: Honda CBR500, CB500F (and rumoured eventually CB500X) all years...

The letters may come in slower. Doesn't hurt to just call up a dealer for an appt for the fix if your model is of the same. Remember it's for all years...

    Motorcycle child harness

+1. All too often I see parents shoving a tablet or cell phone for their kids instead of playing catch, fishing, hiking, etc. I applaud all the parent-riders here who are taking all the necessary measures to ensure their kids have a safe yet memorable experience. #high-5

WTS: SpeedGear 1pc leather suit size 40 men Black

Want to sell SpeedGear 1pc leather suit size 40 men Black. Purchased at Speedworx. These are the same rental suits used at Racer5. I rented one for my first course, made the purchase thinking I'll do more. Life happens and I won't be doing the courses anytime soon. So selling this suit...

    Insurance Insurance Insurance......

+1. Your age, driving record (besides no tickets, they all look at years of driving), also # of years you've been insured are all factors in your premium, alongside with postal code, types of bike, etc. Do what TorontoBoy suggested, and get the R6 later for the streets. Or if you are keen on...

Riding the Valley these days....hope the the City keeps the Don HOV lanes permanent..

There will never be enough lanes for traffic. You can extend the DVP to 5 lanes wide each side like the 407, and it'll still be a parking lot. It rewards people who carpool. Technically, if you do the math, if you get a carpool of 2 people, that's one less car on the DVP. I also would like...

    Kawi Wednesdays!!!

I am a maybe. (I feel bad because I seem to only be able to make an annual appearance). Honestly, this is one of the best meets. Also wondering if Joolz will be showing up? I think I saw his other post that he got the new KTM? love to see that in person.

Planning a trip to Deal's Gap

Since you'll be doing tourists stuff, you may want to consider accomodation just a bit away from the Tail. Last time I was there, the group stayed at Maryville and used it as a home base. It was nice because we had to take a rain day, and there were stuff in town that we could do.

    GPBikes "Contact Us" form?

+1. I don't think OP's expectation is that someone is responding immediately like a click-to-chat. He's saying he's gotten no reply at all. Imagine a posted phone # for you to call and no one picks up... ever, or you get the "mailbox is full" message and can't even leave a msg.

    I Saw You: V.2.0

Wednesday night downtown around 8:30ish, Ducati (monster?) & rider with Hi-viz yellow helmet. Southbound on Bathurst, proceeded to left turn and continued Eastbound on Lakeshore, then onto EB Gardiner. I pray you got home okay and stop riding like a d-bag. You got very lucky on 2 different...

    Is ramping illegal?

Ramping is so yesterday... roundabout is where the action is. On a serious note, imho there's no need to be leaning off bike for normal street riding. If one cannot navigate an intersection without leaning off, honestly get off the road and re-evaluate the whole riding fundamentals.

    Is ramping illegal?

If said kneedragging/leaning off will get your butt off the seat (not in it), they'll nail you for HTA 172 HTA 172, under Definition of Stunt 6. Driving a motor vehicle while the driver is not sitting in the driver’s seat.

Super expensive vespa insurance, does this seem correct?

Based on the additional info you've provided, if it's me, I would almost go with $1000 deductible and get basic minimum coverage. Theft is not worth it, since the bike cost you $1000. But even liability alone nets you $1900 premium for the year... that's crazy. Not sure if you own your home...

Super expensive vespa insurance, does this seem correct?

The "no driving history" bit is your achilles' heel at the moment. On top of the ones suggested above, also try TD. Go with the one where you have home insurance, you have a little bit of leverage to negotiate them taking you on.

My body hit the car, not my bike - Careless driving ticket

A careless driving ticket carries 5 points and close to $500 in fines I think. I'd hire someone reputable right away (lots of info on this forum). Do expect to pay about the same amount if not more for a chance to maintain a clean record.

Backpack increase risk of back injuries?

+1. I had a spill in the rain when the bike and I seperated exiting a curve and approaching an intersection. I was sliding on my chest through the intersection, and a couple of times that I remembered physics was trying to roll me into a tumble. This bag kept me from rolling and tumbling, and I...

Budds BMW Mottorad Demo Day - May 26th

This is really bad from OP's recap of the experience. While they may have good intensions on collecting money for the charity, they way they go about it is questionable. Plus, they should be issuing tax receipts if they are saying it's for a charity. For all we know, the dealership could've...

Rosedale Valley Road - High Risk?

yep, I was driving thru that saturday night with a truck full of stuff. Not my intention to sound rude, but really they could've parked their cars at a much better place so it's safer for all other motorists. Having their cars parked around the curves with flashers on... couldn't have picked a...
