I'm 6'1" at 155lbs and I have to wear a 38 A* race suit.
when standing/walking it is very uncomfortable, specially in the crotch area, but when riding it fits perfect.
I don't think I want a "hard" helmet. I'd want my skull to be cushioned on impact (as it has already), not cracked open like an egg.

just try to lower your upper body onto the bike more, and lead with your head when you go to hang off instead of you butt.
