    Shoei Rf1000 Cheekpads

Thanks! I've been trying to break em in for about a week, but it's still too tight after a while. I'll try Kahuna and Royal. I didn't think they had it because i couldn't find it on their websites.

    Shoei Rf1000 Cheekpads

I was wondering if anyone knew where I could pick up some cheek pads for a Shoei RF1000 helmet. The current ones I have are too thick even after trying to wear them in. Currently I think i have 39mm cheek pads and would like to get 31mm (stock for XL size) pads. Does anyone know where I could...

    Safety Question

Do you have a list of who provides this service? I remember reading some posts where there are some highly recommended ones who will do this, but I can't recall who they were. Edit: I'm in Markham

How to inspect a bike as a newb

I live in Markham, but have been looking at bikes as far as vaughn / maple / sauga. The next 2 on my list of bikes to check out are going to be in scarborough and vaughn/maple area. My main focus has been looking for sv650s, but have been open to looking @ older 250ccs bikes also.

How to inspect a bike as a newb

I've been having a hard time trying to judge whether the bike is in good condition or not. Give me a car and I'll be able to tell you whether its a good buy or not, but when i'm trying to shop for bikes... I am absolutely lost. I've checked out a few guides on what I should be looking out for...

Price disparity on NEW vs. USED 250cc bikes

Is there no book value that the ministry goes by? Cars do, are motorcycles exempt? While I don't have a problem with a bike that has been dropped, I'm thinking it would be easier to sell later down the road if I choose to.

Price disparity on NEW vs. USED 250cc bikes

I'm not trying to get into it, you are the one who is being rude. I clarified what I was seeking for in this particular discussion in regards to this thread and responded in a way which should have resonated to you that you were rash. There were plenty of ways to suggest that I should look...

Price disparity on NEW vs. USED 250cc bikes

Perhaps I should have specified that my criteria was a under 10 000km bike w/ no drops / crashes. I do agree from your search that there are many under 3500, however they don't all fit my criteria. I understand that I will find bikes for a low price, but many of the bikes listed as you've been...

Price disparity on NEW vs. USED 250cc bikes

Insurance has finally become cheap enough for me and i've been looking @ the ninja 250r and the cbr 250r. I noticed that a lot of people are asking for $4000 for their used bike while dealers are now selling a brand new one for $4000. Am I missing out on something or is the market price just...

Am I the only one who can't afford it?

I think i'm just going to shelve my hopes to ride until next year again. I'll probably shop around again this winter when bike prices are lower and my personal credential match up with being fit for SF standards.

Am I the only one who can't afford it?

I should have mentioned that the State Farm wouldn't accept me. I'm a little confused about how SF operates. I tried calling a diff location that wasn't in my city and they said I had to call the closest loc to me. I did and then they said that they wouldn't take me as they are only taking...

Am I the only one who can't afford it?

In terms of paying for insurance that is. I'm 24, turning 25 at the end of this year and have gotten my m2 last year. I do have an at fault accident from 5 years ago and one failure to surrender insurance ticket that I naively paid off under the advice of my insurance company. I tried shopping...

New Rider - Still have Questions not answered in Stickies

@Viper7: I'll definitely take a look outside the GTA! Haven't thought about it, but I will now. And thanks for your input on insurance, if it doesn't vary in between years then I will consider a newer model instead. @bboysushi: Yea, I've come to realize that newer bikes turns over easily...

New Rider - Still have Questions not answered in Stickies

Thanks for your input. I would prefer a newer bike, but the older ones are a lot cheaper. For example, the 92 ex500 being sold on the GTAM forum for $1000. I also checked out insurance rates last year, and was quoted 1400 for full coverage on a ninja 250 at that time (assuming I had an m2). I...

New Rider - Still have Questions not answered in Stickies

Hi GTAM, I recently got my M2 a few weeks back and have read through the stickies, but still have some questions hopefully you vets could help me with. I'm currently looking into any 250cc or 500cc sport bike (cbr250, ninja250, intercepter 250, ex500, gs500, am I missing any that I...
