It looks more like a spring from a rear master, it doesn't take much to return the pedal to position. Either way, a suitable spring with the right tension and correct fit is what's important.
I disagree. The op wants to do his own and with a little mechanical aptitude, some patience and correct tools and technical info it's what a lot of bikers want to do...work on their own bikes.

Wow, and to think we did all three series three years ago. Kana won SOAR femme cup and i took home a RACE title and had a tough time with the Nationals. That was before the little princess was born.

Scott was injured and probably still in slight shock from seeing a bike swoop from off line and park it in T8 at Mosport (the fastest turn on any Canadian track). Irnie says in the video he was on the brakes and got shot forward. You should not be on the brakes throught T8, maybe slight pressure...
