Well Shane and I headed north and I took him on a few new roads that he had never been on and then he took me over to some that I have never been on. What a amazing ride. We even found a wicked road that was hard packed gravel and sand - so we had to go try it out. Just waiting for SK to post...
The new google won't let u do a lot of things. The old google is still there and I still use it. You can still drag the route to where ever you want and save it and also download the KLM file to change over to GPX. When you go into google maps - there is a ? mark at the bottom right of the...
It still has sand in corners and is torn up in small patches (road work ) - Just like they did 2 summers ago.
So if you go do then be very careful. Rode this on Wed July 23
I just got a set of 4's and will be on bike for my big trip near the end of August - Are a bit pricey - but will have to see if worth it. They say these tires are for the heavier bikes and loaded down. I have an FJR & this trip will be at least 15,000 k & done over 16 or 17 days. I will update...
If you are planning on Ellicottville then maybe try doing a weekend tour to Alleghany area and some of the PA area a bit further east and south.
To many nice roads in that area and some great scenery down that way.
Some nice pics Mac - Also the 93 just north of Lake Louise to Jasper is a spectacular ride - Fabulous roads - Scenery is unbelievable and the lakes are very blue in color just like your pic. Hope you are heading up that way as you will miss a lot if you don't.
Sorry R R - Don't have any other pics - Have to do this ride in under 24 hours ( Was close to 22 hours ) - no big Hwys and was very cold for a good part of the day. I normally take tons of pics but this year have been leaving my camera at home. I will have tons of pics in Sept for our West Coast...
Another ride in the bank. Got a bit wet from Parry Sound to Sudbury. We started ride and air was in the low 50's. Not long after we left it dropped big time. Was as low as 36 F for some time. Good thing I decided to take my winter stuff. During the day we happened to see one black bear - one...
If taking the 666 - it was torn up at the end of last year - so be careful. If they got around to redoing that road it would be fantastic.
From Warren cut back onto 59 to 321 up to 346 - Much nicer ride. I see most peeps don't bother with the kettle creek Loop - Leave the 120 up kettle creek...

- That is interesting - sign left and road goes right - Haven't seen that one yet. As for road conditions - Compare them to here - They are way better then here - Not all roads are perfect but in good condition. (will take that any day)
- As for when you were there - my first trip...
BeastieGirl - Try to make it 4 days - Just to many roads and routes to do in 3 days - You won't be able to do much.
- I will give you what you need.
BTW - The good folks here on site are still waiting for your report on your last ride and...
Diesel
That loop is great - just take off the bottom of the 821 and Add in the 530 - It is part of your route - You will thank me.
STARSHIP - The 555 is OK - The best part of that road is the bottom part of that road - Where the 550 meets the 555 - go south from that...
Mac
I did a 3 day and also a 5 day. A 3 day gives u twistys on the way down for about 3 to 4 hours to end the day. A complete day for ride - minimum 400km for the day. Then on day 3 you do twistys for a few hours on the way to wheeling then Hwy home.
I prefer more of 4 days to 6 days to really...
Take Hwy to Wheeling is 6 hours - then hit twistys - to many roads to say which is the best.
Almost all roads are good. Even some nice gravel twisty roads to. Sent a pm RR
