yep...what he said... too much crap on city streets...save the leaning for the boonies. Brake going in smooth going out and resist the urge to giv'er til youre pretty much upright again.. Learned the hard way....
i just sing to myself...my voice inside full face helmet is freakin' amazing! I know i shouldnt knock something without trying it but one of the aspects i love most about riding is that sweet sound of the motor on my litreSV
good move... glad you made it out ok. Its always a good idea as well to watch any pedestrian walk signals...as soon as it says dont walk, its very soon you'll get the yellow. I pulse the rear brake to hopefully alert the cage behind that i plan on stopping on the yellow...even if i do end up...
bought a new textile jacket online and i usually wear in M in any JoeRocket jackets I've had. But this new one feels a bit snug but i dont have to suck gut in to zip it up or anything! Am i better off with it this way? My thinking is that getting a larger size will have the padding shifting...
*****....where was this thread last week! I just ordered tail bag from GearsCanada for about the same $ -- maybe little less but this one looks more suitable and attaches better....
dang....
as other have said, for sure keep an eye on the magnets -- especially if your tank bag has magnets only to keep it on, as they are way stronger than a bag with a strap. I made the mistake of setting my bag down on the shoulder of the road [while i tried to pick bike up after very slow speed...
this old guy remembers bikes only having one mirror - always on the left. i cant imagine riding without both now though.
@ yzfrikr1 : youre either joking about having no mirrors or else you have nerves of steel !! i know I couldnt sit at a stop light without knowing whats coming up on my...
wow...that brings back memories for this old fart too. I remember going to Copetown back in the days of TWO 40 minutes plus 2 laps motos - Roger DeCoster on his Suzuki and Heike Mikkola on his Husqy battled it all day long. That place was awesome, or maybe memory just keeps the good stuff! I...
one question to ask is what type of riding you will be doing for the most part. If its mostly around town, then any of them wont bore you. If you think you'll be doing lots of riding on highways [posted 80], all 3 will be fine but if you'll be riding 2 up then might want to think about the...
I'm pretty sure one of these if being ridden in the AMA superbike class this year... at least in the recent round from Mid-Ohio Raceway. I think one of the biggest complaints with previous Buells was the unreliability of the engines. Now he's paired up with Rotax might be a different story...
Hey all...
was looking to upgrade to a lighter helmet than what i use now mainly because i've been doing extended hours in the saddle this year. I've always liked the look of Shark helmets but there doesnt seem to be that many available online. I wear a size S in my old AGV and JOeRocket...
read this thread the other day and didnt even notice until NOW that it was ANOTHER track day fatality. I thought it was more on the Calabogie one.... RIP rider, and AGAIN thoughts and prayers to the family as well as the Pro6 staff
in reply to the question asking what type of rock formations those are: i'm pretty sure they are called "hoodoos" and are caused by wind erosion resulting in the weird shapes. If anyone has ever visited Calgary and driven down to the dinosaur area, there's lots of those hoodoos there as well.
