I'm down for a ride to Hockley rd. I'm in Brampton and got a M but don't mind taking roads suited for M1 riders and I like to ride at a pace that allows me to keep my licence. I should be out of my place within a half hour or so.
Not talking about the CRC. The guy can still screw you over by reporting the accident to his company and sharing your insurance info even without claiming. All he needs to do is show them proof of repairs and they won't bother him. His insurance company may call still call yours. They can...
Sure and even if the guy just reports it without claiming, the OP's insurance company can still rate him for it. $ value of claim does not always matter. An at-fault accident is an at-fault.
Exactly, none of us are lawyers. So, question still stands. What assurance does the OP have that...
What assurances does the OP have that the contract would be legally enforceable in court? I'm not an expert and don't know the answer but I doubt it would be. For one, you can't enter a contract on behalf of your insurance company without their knowledge and consent. Additionally, is a...
Whether you pay him his requested $2000 or you feel that you didn't cause that much damage and somehow you negotiate a lower settlement (I doubt he'll budge that much, if at all), the big question here is if he'll still call his insurance company after you pay him. I'd want to be pretty sure he...
By law, the seller has to get and provide you with the UVIP. It's only $20 though so not a big deal if the two of you negotiate that as coming out of your pocket.
A verbal or even written agreement between the parties in this situation is worthless imo. Basically, your insurance policy is an agreement between you and your insurance co. You have obligations as well under that policy including reporting any accident involving losses to persons or...
You've got basically 3 options:
a) Pay da man his money
b) Go through insurance or;
c) Fake your own death and move to Mexico
There's no guarantee that option a or b will be cheaper than the other. There's no guarantee that if you go with option a, you still won't have to deal with option b...
TD has a verbal application they do with you when you set up the policy. One of the questions, and I'm paraphrasing from memory is about preexisting damage.
The alarm question seems to be a standard question. They asked me the same thing even though I don't ride a super sport. I think if you...
I've just been told that the Pilot Activ tires are discontinued. It wasn't clear if the entire line is discontinued or only in these particular sizes. Michelin introduced some new tire models this year with one line specifically targeted at smaller bikes like the CBR250 and Ninja 300; the...
Michelin Pilot Activ are well regarded tires across the board from my research. Sticky enough for the track yet good enough all around use for the street and acceptable wear. The Bridgestone BT45 is another good option but is a bit more expensive than the Michelins.
In Ontario, I believe there's a $30,000 tort deductible on a standard auto policy if you want to sue an at-fault driver for general damages. You have to sustain injuries serious enough though to have caused you economic loss (e.g., significant injury that you cannot go to work).
In general, insurance companies don't write temporary insurance as new policies. If you start a new policy, you can however, cancel any time. Bear in mind that motorcycle insurance is rated seasonally so cancelling in the middle of the riding season may mean that you'll still owe a bit after...
