The v-strom looks great, but those bags are, umm.....not my taste. I love the sporty integrated look of the new Versys bags.
I think I'm just happy to see some middleweight options with factory bags. I carry stuff (work laptop, rain gear, etc) and need lockable storage.
I love the big sport tourers like FJR1300 and Concours 1400. I thought I had my mind made up that I would look for a 2010+ used Concours late next year (when I'll be in a position to buy), but damn.....Kawasaki just threw me a curve ball. Have you seen the new Versys? The 2015 650 LT looks...
Well it was 0 when I left, and wind chill at 100 kph for an hour sucks.....I'm not screwing around! lol
I also have a great car with heated seats that calls my name every morning lately. I went to a fitness class at 6 and had to scrape thick ice off my window. It's too early for that! I drove...
Put my snowboarding pants and jacket on for my ride today. I ride an hour from Brantford to Guelph to get to work and I was just fine. Turned my heated grips up to 75%, and the only thing that would help is a winter helmet. Mine has too much ventilation, so even with a balaclava on my face was...
I'd take a course, but those insurance bastards took all my money! ;)
Seriously though, money, time, location..........availability. I live in Brantford and I don't think there's anything offered around me that could fit my schedule.
So.....500 km on the freshly waxed chain and it's still perfect. Clean, quiet, and looks good.....and there's no oil on my wheel! I'm sold, even if I have to reapply after riding in rain which I would have done with regular lube anyway. Just can't see a downside yet.
At some future point when it's widespread enough I think it would be a huge help. Most traffic jams are because people are jerks always trying to jockey for position and cutting each other off. the human element is the biggest problem on our roads. That being said, i'll never turn over control...
I thought that the wax was more water resistant than normal lube?I'll certainly post my experiences with the wax over the next few weeks. I just can't believe how clean my bike is!
hahahahahahahaha
You don't think that if someone likes you they will do a better job for you or be inclined to give you the best rate available? hahahahaha
I bet you say things like that when you talk to an agent or broker....they would totally be inclined to help you more after that.
You...
My wife works at my brokers office and I have a 15 year professional relationship with this broker. So darn right they will lol. You're lucky to have never had a claim. I've never had a property claim, but got t-boned in my old truck. My broker argued the settlement and helped me find listings...
This is not a complete statement.
If you get quotes through something like my insurance shopper, those rates will INCLUDE commission. Plus, online systems are only so-so at being accurate, and most people using them haven't necessarily given all the right info. There are hundreds of insurance...
A couple things to note.....the best isn't always the cheapest. Depends on your needs. Like I mentioned, I could save $400 a year on my house insurance if I went to TD, but I'd also have $15,000 limitation on sewer backup. Doesn't meet my needs, even though it's the cheapest. TD won't fight for...
Commission - how do you think people get paid?
Some brokers can get you a cheaper price including their commission than the direct writers give you without. Plus, whether the insurance company pays a broker a commission or pay salary and bonuses to internal staff (like TD)....it's either...
I had a conversation with a guy on an EX500 once that referred to Sportsters as girls bikes. Silly. I also regularly pass guys on Harleys that don't wave to me because I ride a rice burner. I just laugh at them all......why do so many people feel the need to hate?
Love it! Just cleaned and adjusted my chain, but instead of using maxima chain lube I switched to maxims chain wax.
In the process of cleaning, I discovered that the hub is actually silver behind my sprocket and not black! Lol who knew?
This stuff didn't drip all over, and likely won't fling...
Yes, but not far enough. I need a couple mm's more of room. I might try to shave a bit of material off the left side bracket. They cost me $20 so if I wreck them it doesn't matter too much. the clutch lever will not slide over far enough due to the bend of the handlebar.
