I have a 5 year Kawasaki warranty that covers the sensors if they die. I have the option to buy another 2 years to get 7 years of factory warranty. If I keep the bike longer than 5 years I'll buy it up, but I'll probably buy a new bike then. (mine is financed for 5 years)
I don't watch this stuff regularly, but an entertaining video is an entertaining video. One guy that has made me laugh a few times is Mordeth13. He has one video about waving... and his patented "Hello Kitty" wave that I though was hilarious. I almost spit my coffee on my monitor when I watched...
I hear you, but I've got a 5 year unlimited km warranty on my bike so I'm not worried about replacing them. Like traction control or ABS, it's just another little safety thing that can help. Plus I love gadgets.
I would die instantly on a bike with more tech (BMW tourers or Goldwings for...
Loud clothing is more effective than loud pipes, but I have to admit blipping my throttle as well when moving through slow traffic and getting concerned about people zigging in to my lane. In those situations where you are slowing creeping through traffic but still passing or having a hard time...
One of the neat features on my Kawasaki Concours is TPMS. This should be standard on more bikes.
Was out for a group ride on the weekend and didn't realize it but I ran over a big nail. My tire pressure started dropping and I hadn't noticed it but at 30 PSI (or so) the TPMS warning lights came...
hahaha...... My ZX-14 derived Concours 1400 laughs in the face of this drivel. OK, so my bike is not a sports bike but a sport tourer..... but this article isn't really about cruisers as it is about touring bikes and full dressers.
Most cruisers make what......up to 80 HP? With around the same...
I've been riding since I got my bike two weeks ago. It's a Concours and with the large fairing and electric adjustable windshield it's a treat to ride it in any weather. I would have died on my old bandit under 5c, but it's nothing on the Connie. Anybody with a big bike is a big wussbag if it...
I have a Sargent low seat on order for my Concours and I also just ordered a regular beadrider. The beadrider should be here hopefully tomorrow so I'll get to try it out on my stock seat and then on my sargent. Can't wait to try it.
My card stays in the left fairing pocket of my Concours. I press the button to open it, pull it out and tap the thing-a-ma-bob, drop it back in the box. Then once I park and take my helmet off I put it around my neck. I used to just keep it around my neck and unzip my jacket to grab it, but that...
I just picked up my new Concours 1400 last week and break in specifies not to exceed 4000 RPM for the first 600 KM. Then not to exceed 6000 RPM until after 1500 KM. I haven't been able to ride much yet...still under 400 KM, but I'm going to follow the owners manual exactly. I can extend my...
I just bought a new 2014 Kawisaki Concours 1400 and hope to pick it up on March 28th weather permitting. If it's not raining or snowing that day I'll get it. Probably won't be riding daily until mid April though....we'll see.
I have the Ogio's and they're awesome. Rain covers included. I'd upload pictures but stupid quota!
I love the bags. They expand and they're very high quality.
I saw a neat one on eBay that only held the front wheel. You push your bikes front wheel into the chock, lock it in, then a Jack handle lifts it off the ground. The bikes rear wheel trails behind and stays on the ground. There was an eBay sale for $99 us plus shipping so less than $200 all in...
So I'm currently obsessed with the 2010+ Concours. I saw one with a corbin top box that was awesome! My wife would like that....and the bike is gorgeous. I need to ride one.
Still riding here too. I commute for an hour each way on country highways.....I'm dressed for snowboarding except with my riding boots and leather gauntlets. Anything less that what I was wearing and I would have froze. You city guys with short rides have it easy! lol
The insurance company goes by your mvr. Go pull it. If the ticket is gone by your renewal date they can't rate you for it. They don't make those rules.....the Ministry of Transposrtation does. It used to be $5 to get your own mvr at the ministry. Go do that and it will answer your question.
Points taken there. If it was noticeably less powerful than my Bandit I wouldn't be happy.....a 16 hp difference might be too much. Have to look at the weight too...the bandit is a big old pig, but surprisingly nimble for it's size. I really do love my Bandit....it's a great bike.
