I'd never allow a passenger (regardless of how hot) to squid, even if she said she knew the risk and was OK with it. Ultimately if anything happened, I wouldn't be OK with it.
I second the SV650, a lot of friends have them and love them. If you are OK without a fairing, there are a number of naked bikes that are awesome (perhaps a Triumph Street Triple).
You silver tongued devil... nothing like telling a girl she's not that hot but you'd still (Do is the word I think you forgot to put in) you... :laughing8:
My dealer wouldn't allow me to pay for the bike on my credit card.... I had no issues with that as he already did a good deal for me. When I was in the car business many dealers allowed this until they saw what it did to their bottom line. Doubt many dealers will accept credit card payment for...
You shouldn't have to do anything. Make sure you have "uninsured motorist" coverage and if so, your insurance company covers you and deals with the other driver and the courts. Just checked my policy and it's $15 a year. Might even be standard coverage.
I expect this kind of behaviour from cagers so try not to get too worked up about it. You can go nuts and spend your whole day trying to teach drivers a thing or two but it's all a waste of time. Spend that time working on your defensive driving and chill out when the idiots do stuff like...
Based on your suggestion of wave rotors I assume your upgrades will mostly be cosmetic? Putting on a good set of brake pads and perhaps some braided lines will be all you need to improve your braking. If you want to do some performance enhancements, looks at higher end brakes (Brembo, etc) but...
I changed to Pirelli Angel ST's and so far love them. Great in the wet. They are definitely going to last longer than the OEM tires that came on my bike. The Angel/Demon pattern is kind of cool too.
As far as Pete's, definitely some of the best prices around. Pete's prices for the Angel in...
Let us know what happens. I witnessed a car hit another car in a parking lot and drive away. Was writing a not to the driver of the car that was hit when she came out. Gave her the license plate number, vehicle and driver description. She reported it to the police and from what I can gather...
Here are a couple good links.
New Hampshire road http://www.motorcycleroads.us/states/nh.html I can only comment on the 302. Very scenic but not very twisty.

Be sure to have a Donair for me while in Nova Scotia!!
Sad news out of Ottawa. Here is the link and current story in the newspaper. My thoughts and prayers go out to the rider and his family. Hoping the injured rider heals up quickly.

When I bought my bike they insisted I have insurance, but didn't ask for any proof. To that end I have the original receipt. I would assume a picture of your bike/alarm would suffice. Ultimately if your bike is stolen and not recovered, there is no way to know if you do or don't have an...
Seen this scam over and over and over.... What I don't understand is why they keep doing it. Seriously, are people stupid enough to fall for this? Had a similar response when I inquired about an Acura NSX for sale in Autotrader. The e-mails ended after the seller said the car was in NYC and...
Just call and ask to speak to a supervisor. I'm sure a more experienced employee will know how to help you. My friend had a problem when he bought his Speed Triple and TD/Melloche didn't recognize the vin number. He was able to get insured with a quick call to a more experienced rep.
