Can we legalize lane filtering yet?

I guess the same justification that allows "Green" cars in the HOV lanes with only one passenger. http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/vehicles/electric/green-licence-plate.shtml Last time I checked my bike was more Green than most of the Green cars.

Can someone explain to be what financing payment option is?

First, I fully agree with EaZ8... toys and other non-essential items are best purchased with cash.... But, since you asked. Financing is a term that covers many things (loans/leases/lay away/etc) and not all are created equal. For a loan, while your calculation above is close, it's not...

    Thank you Euro...

Thanks for the reminder. Just ordered some Dainese Proshape hip/knee protectors. Total cost including shipping was $56. Local stealership wanted over $90 plus tax. US online was $60 US plus $20 US shipping. Even if I get dinged for tax/duty it will still be less. Shipping via DHL so...

Motorcycle Research Paper Question - Why do you ride?

I started riding dirt bikes when I was a kid. Why? Because it seemed like fun and it was. Fast forward a few decades and I still ride. Now I ride a street bike because it's still fun. If I ride to work or to do errands I look forward to both more than I would if I took the cage. Riding...

Sell on Kijiji: Value of Ducati 848

I think this says it all. Most people who want a Ducati and have the ability to afford one, would probably rather pay $2K more to get a new one (I would). I think your bike is fairly well priced but with the intro of the 899 the price of instock new 848's has dropped. Good luck selling it.

Shipping Rates from the US - Online Parts

Not sure if it's paypal or other issues but most US retailers will now only ship to Canada using the higher priced services. I recently purchased a part from a UK dealer and the shipping was only 2 Euros ($4). If you can't find a good deal (including shipping), look at some of the UK sites.

what is the best way to bypass Montreal... on the way to PEI

The 30 bypassing Montreal is probably as good as it gets if the 401/20 is the way you need to go. When you get to New Brunswick however, consider going cross country to Newcastle and down the Western side of the Province rather than through Fredericton. The route probably isn't any longer time...

Helmet custom airbrush or plastic wrap?

Probably easier and cheaper (in the long run) to just buy another helmet with a design that you like. The cost of getting a decent custom paint job will most likely be more than the cost of a helmet. I've run into the same thing with my goalie masks. A custom paint job is more $ than the...

TWO TYPES OF RIDERS - the kind that's been down, and the kind that's goin' down!?????

I think MM is taking the expression a little to literal. I've always taken it to mean that no matter what your experience level you need to pay attention to the road and your surroundings. Just because you've ridden the previous X years without an accident doesn't mean something isn't going to...

What are the laws surrounding insurance quotes based on "years insured"?

Re: What are the laws surrounding insurance quotes based on "years insured"? A little off topic but interesting (I think). When I bought my Daytona in 2008 they asked all the questions about license, how long, accidents, etc. Then they asked about continuous insurance and I advised them I...
