Thanks everyone. Took the pads out last night and they were worse than I thougt so I ended up putting a set of EBC HH in as that was all they had in stock at my local store and needed some for Friday. Used HH on my ZX7 and liked them so I'm cool with that.

This. I ignored this advice a couple of years ago when I started, bought a nice cheap ZX7 & then ended up putting in over $2500-$3000 for rear shock, front forks stripping & re-building, tires, track bodywork, better brakes etc etc, you get the picture. I could have bought a "ready to go" track...

Had Squidskins on the ZX7, was easy to fit & stood up to 2 low sides pretty well. Have Hotbodies on the GSXR1000, seems like good quality, don't intend crash testing it though.

Did my ZX7 fairings twice after crashing. Fiberglass matting & resin on the back. Bondo on the front of the repair sanded to shape, nice & smooth, re-apply if needed to finish it off/get the correct shape then finish off any minor imperfections with a putty style filler. Wet sand everything...

I'd actually though about the Friday at GBM as well, I've done a couple of those in 2015 & they were fun. I quickly got used to faster guys & gals passing me on the inside, the outside, anywhere they could ha ha but was never intimidated by it & found it an enjoyable day where I actually learnt...
