    Condo Parking Theft Deterrent

Love to get my ZX6R back or simply put some of these thieves out of business but I did spend a lot of time talking to cops about this... Unless you have #aparticularsetofskills and intend to get your bike back yourself, I don't know what can come of it. And that's the Zimmermanesque result I was...

    Condo Parking Theft Deterrent

Err, I'm with you in spirit but I have yet to hear an idea that doesn't basically lead to a Zimmerman-y potential conclusion. And, as far as I know, it's a claim. So even if I have zero deductible, thefts will make me suffer increased premiums and potentially worse (canceled or refused insurance?).

    Dainese zippers / Opti zips

Good luck. I had a terrible time trying to repair a zipper on my cheap Icon leather jacket. Icon was not helpful :( Make sure you get a very heavy duty zipper in case the worst happens. Drycleaners can give you advice but I don't think they can do anything for you cheap.

    RIP? 401 EB near carlingview

Oh no. All day I feared the worst: Rider and significant other. Never entered my mind that a child might be involved. RIP + GWS.

    RIP? 401 EB near carlingview

http://www.cp24.com/news/one-person-dead-after-motorcycle-collides-with-truck-on-eb-hwy-401-1.1847055 Just saw it on cp24. One dead and another airlifted to the hospital. Hate to say it but I am assuming the motorcyclist got the worst of a collision with a truck... RIP watever the case may be.

    Condo Parking Theft Deterrent

Ya, I know nothing is indestructible and the best i can do is try to waste as much of their evening as possible, but are bolt cutters what these thieves are working with now?

    Condo Parking Theft Deterrent

What does everyone think about just the heaviest chain I can buy at Home Depot, plus the manliest padlock I can buy at Home Depot, and chaining my bike to a solid concrete pillar. That will be satisfactory deterrent, right? Gotta take at least a few very sparky minutes to get through a 3/8"...

How does it feel to go to an SS from a Sport?

Agreed. But in my Ninja 650r to ZX-6R experience, there really is a huge difference in the sensation of the SS. It is just so much quicker to react and sharper. Even though I rarely if ever do anything on my SS that I couldn't do on my 650r, I am actually happy paying all the extra gas and...

    Condo Parking Theft Deterrent

My condo has a bunch of people sharing their parking space with car+bike. And, from my understanding, the parking space is private property by the owner of the space (or, at least is typically). It's no more a violation to park your bike + car in it as it is to park a big *** F-350 dualie or a...

    Gorilla vs Scorpio Alarm Systems

Just want to +1 everyone else's remarks: Never tried Gorilla, had a Scorpio i800. Very convenient and had it professionally installed to satisfy my insurance company (about 45m of install time with the quick connector, but it only took that long because the connector works but wasn't...

How does it feel to go to an SS from a Sport?

I went from a 650r to a ZX-6R two years ago and I know how you feel. My first minute on it made me feel like my head was over the front tire, the riding position was so aggressive in comparison to my sport-tourer. After about half an hour, I felt totally at home though. The acceleration is...

Stolen motorcycle, reward to finder. (04 ZX636 Silver, spitfire paint job)

Good luck darkav, please keep us updated if anything happens. THREADJACK ALERT: Not sure if this is appropriate since this is still theft-related, but I'm looking at replacing my stolen 2011 ZX-6R with the 2013 ZX-636R (or whatever they call it) now and my condo underground parking actually has...

Stolen motorcycle, reward to finder. (04 ZX636 Silver, spitfire paint job)

o0ollo0o: I had an alarm but with my supersport it wouldn't be hard to pick it up at about 420lbs and walk it into a van and I'm assuming that's what was done. For that reason, I don't think a caliper lock (which I didn't have) would have helped much. I think having it chained to something may...

Stolen motorcycle, reward to finder. (04 ZX636 Silver, spitfire paint job)

Hi -D-, I've been weighing all those things as well. I largely just want the thieves caught, whether I get my bike back or not (my next bike, if/when I get one, will likely have a $0 deductible policy on it so it won't matter to me personally if the bike gets retrieved or not). The alarm...

Stolen motorcycle, reward to finder. (04 ZX636 Silver, spitfire paint job)

Hpvchewy: can you pm me more details about your setup or post in depth somewhere? I'm not buying a replacement bike (or maybe a decade-old beater) until I get my security resolved. I've got a few ideas but none as impressive I sounding as yours and I'd like to hear more. My alarm um guessing...
