Best route to take to Front Royal

666 has been closed for several weeks. 44 and 144 are more fun anyway.

    Loud Vehicle Legislation Across Canada

+1. You draw way less negative attention to hooligan riding with quiet pipes.

Ride Report - The Pennsylvania Loop

We did about 1300 KMs. It's 360 KMs from home in Oakville to Dubois PA so that's 720 KMs for the commute and we did about 600 KMs riding around on Saturday. We did a direct ride home leaving Dubois at about 9 AM and got home at 1:30 PM yesterday afternoon. I counted 6 speed traps on 219 between...

Ride Report - The Pennsylvania Loop

Nice ride. We were down there this weekend as well. We rode down to Dubois PA Friday night and stayed there again Saturday which allowed us to take the luggage off the bikes for some real fun riding on Saturday. The improvements on 144 between Renovo and Snow Shoe have turned it into my favorite...

What do you call these jackets?

I don't think this would be proper attire for the IOM TT or the Macau GP. http://www.gtamotorcycle.com/vbforum/showthread.php?184713-isle-of-man-tt-amp-macau-gp-guia-circuit-amp-ulster-gp

New bike - anyone recommend routes?

Nice bike. I used to own a 2008 1250S and it was a great bike. Very reliable, huge aftermarket parts availability, and awesome value. Google maps will show you the twisty roads in your area. Have fun.

    Michelin Pilot Road 4's

I've ridden several sets of PR3s and I'm now have about 6000 KMs on a set of PR4s. While the compound is harder on the 4s, there is less tread on the sides of the tires giving them more tire on the road when leaned over. It's amazing that you don't lose grip with the PR4. I have found that the...

Heading to the Dragon down the Blue Ridge Parkway second week of July .

I've done the entire Blue Ridge including Skyline Drive a few times. You can do it in 2 long days or take your time and do it in 3. As others have said, avoid it on weekends if you can as it will be jammed with campers, hikers, cyclists, etc.

    Boots

Most Dianese boots come in and "in" model for wearing pants over the boot and an "out" model for wearing pants inside the boot. Vale likes the "in" version.

Samsung doing something about distracted driving.

I'm all for anything the helps reduce distracted driving. I wonder if Samsung will launch this program in Canada since it's been so successful in Australia. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9TlxdyYNUY

Headed North - The Lemonade Tour

Sorry to hear things didn't work out for you but I'm actually envious in a way. If i was in your shoes I would take the opportunity to take a ride like this as well. All I can suggest is to check out some ride reports over on ADV Rider for info on tires and shops in the northwest.

The new route 30 autoroute de l'acier avoids Montreal. it is, however, a toll road.
