I bought a pair of motorcycle socks years ago. They made my feet sweat more, didn't breath well. . . I'm just fine with a pair of thin cotton sport socks. . . 8 pairs at walmart for less than some of these ones.
That is too funny . . .
i hear a lot that the motomaster ones from crappy tire that came with a bottle jack tend to go. . .not the frame, the bottle jack.
THere's always a few of those on kijiji. . .just bought one off a guy for 40$.
Second time les has painted my ride - excellent yet again. Good man; good work, he'll likely do it a third time eventually.

Hey once i get out there, I'm staying in Baddeck for two nights and exploring cabot trail and maybe Meat Cove Road and maybe whale watch at Oshan (have to see about the last one).
For those who have been there done that; I'm wondering
1.
if it's at all worth it to ride the complete cabot...
Thanks. Doesn't seem to be the vibes as much as my weight on my palms against the hard stock grip . ISO grips on my cruiser are comfy; just got the gsx 1250 and of course it's a very different position.
Maybe I'll go heated over this winter. Right now I need a quick solution before heading out
Stumbled upon this product that gets some pretty good reviews. No it's not an escort!
foamy thing that slips over the grips - my hands keep getting numb and it's either these or ISO grips.
They're on ebay, but was wondering if anyone's seen them retail around here? Just that I'm heading...
Totally.
It it was going to be a last option. Bought it last night, managed to call in favour at last minute. Was curious how many do this quietly. Responses were what I hypothesized lol.
Thanks to to everyone for sharing.
Yeah I hope to buy tonight/tmrw.
Curious. . .had a few guys come to buy used cars over the years, pretty much all brought plates, slap em on and drive away.
Do you guys all do that when buying a used bike? I know, trailer's an option. . .but if you don't have one?
plate's for same...
Well I've kind of done up the V-star a certain way -- bags on it are out.
And it does notoriously handle like a pig in slow speeds and around town.
So it seems thanks to all your advice (thanks so much everyone) I'm down to a 1250 Bandit, the Triumph ST and the FJR.
Went to see an 05...
hey everyone;
My v-star's great; with the aftermarket seat I can go for 10 hours on it no problem. But it's got no storage, I've done it up to suit more of a 'showy' purpose. So I'm keeping that but shopping for a second ride that will:
-be my 'running around town' bike. The V-star feels...
Have to paint the v-star. It's stock Yamaha black right now, but went down last summer. . .
I wanted to paint everything black again, but without flake or anything. Just a very rich, deep, black. . .something that looks like you could drown in it.
But trying to nail down what black paint...
My pal bought a C50 in 2007. He didn't have a place to store it, so it stayed at my place. I'd take it around town once a week or so. Then he rode it. He unfortunately took a tumble and well, decided this hobby wasn't for him. So the bike has been parked, since fall 2007 at his place...
up past orillia. . . 35/118/21 all good. broad sweepers, nice scenery.
If that looks like too much, you could hit up Monks road - 503. . . though its a tad longer than 5 hrs.
