OP if you haven't already, call the cops and at least have the guy get a ticket, and get his insurance involved. Make his life as miserable as you can. I commend you, I have bad road rage and would've been the one put in the slammer.
There's no "wrong" reason to get into this hobby. I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting something bigger to look better, not everyone is into putting a knee down in every corner. As long as you're riding safe than there's no problem with what your ultimate goal would be. It's not...
How about making emergency sidestands that only engage when the bike is stopped and in neutral, so that it will pop out and save the bike from completely falling over? For those times when you're mind wanders and thinks the sidestand is down, or some stupid chick sits on your nr750 and drops it.
If I were to do it again I would definitely take at least 2 weeks to fully enjoy the sights and scenic roads. Just don't rush it like I did :/ Not quite sure where my next destination will be, but I might take off the whole month of august to go somewhere.
Hey man great pics, I'd be down for a good trip, I ride an M50 and live downtown, PM me if you're interested. I did the east coast last year, it was fun, although a little rushed. Cheers mate!
Be careful with that setup, the vibrations can can cause some damage to your phone, I used mine for a trip, and it kept vibrating the sim card out. My phone hasn't been the same since, the UI of the phone is a lot slower.
