I did mine in July last summer. Heard back from them at the end of November confirming my ride was certified. All documents came in via mail approximately 2-3 weeks after.
WTF happened to his road? I thought this was the usual complaints about some sand and gravel that you typically see on this road. Was out there this past weekend and it almost looks like they spread pea gravel on top of the asphalt on the southern. It was like riding on marbles. Wasn't fun.
Having a child put into perspective how short life is and a large portion of it is already gone. I decided not to delay any more and got into riding after my first kid.
Thanks!. I just submitted the paper work a couple of weeks ago so I don't know my IBA number yet.
Speeding wasn't necessary at all but I took a lot more breaks than I planned and wanted to make sure I still finish around the time I had planned to.
Are you planning to do your next SS1000 this...
I have a gore-tex liner for my jacket, Olympia rain paints and my boots are waterproof. I keep a few pairs of nirtrile gloves in the topcase because I don't have waterproof gloves.
The increase in tank size happened on the 2016 model along with the new design. I remember reading the changes on the 2017 model and several sites incorrectly noted a tank size increase.

I'm very happy with the bike. I've had it since new and don't think i'd be replacing it anytime soon.
Thanks.
There was a sign at the north end of Barrie saying that access to Temagami was restricted due to fires but i went through that area no problem. I didn't encounter any signs of fires on this route.
Well, i did it. I was about 1 hr faster than planned but lost half of it in a Tim Horton's line up in Trenton on the final leg. Last 4 hours of the ride was in the rain which wasn't much fun either.
The route
The rig.. had a camelbak bladder in my backpack inside a cooler bag to keep it...
All set. Will be doing this solo at 4AM tomorrow morning. Would appreciate any heads up regarding road conditions if anyone has been in these areas lately...
Take into consideration the power draw on these things. I have a small one (similar to what you posted) which was fine for a power source fused to 7.5A. I blew the fuse using a compressor similar to what Greyghost posted which I keep in my car.
