    Renewal Suprize

I've been calling around all day today... some are already close so I'll have to follow up with a few more tomorrow. Allstate said they don't insure sport bikes without something else on the policy so no go there. But I have definitely found better rates than TD.

    TD Insurance Spike?! m109r rider

Already posted in the other thread but yea... mine went up from $500 to $1000. 100% increase for a Ninja 300.

    Renewal Suprize

My insurance with TD went up from $500 to $1000. For a Ninja 300 ABS (which I'll be selling shortly because i purchased an FJ-09). They're nuts. No accidents, tickets, ever. Over 30 and Full M. Did an online quote (I know it isn't accurate as telephone but) and FJ-09 went from estimated...

    Yamaha. WTF !!

Opinions on ABS are irrelevant. Offer a bike with and a bike without ABS like Kawi does with the Ninja 300. Then both sides are happy instead of losing their **** like religious freaks.

    Learning Curves M2Exit

I just wanted say thank you to Peter and Goldie of Learning Curves. Both in-class and on-road portions of the course were very informative and eye opening to some bad habits that I have formed since obtaining my M2. Both very knowledgeable and helpful in helping riders improve themselves to be...

Michelin Pilot Street for Ninja 250/300

Yep. I recently had these installed at Pro6 on my Ninja 300. Night and Day difference; hell I didn't even have to break them in to feel the effects. I'm glad I chose these over the Pirelli DRIIs; I'm sure the DRIIs are great but these tires inspire all sorts of confidence that I didn't have...

Technical riding course with Riding Institute - worth it?

Wouldn't know... I've been trying to contact RTI for over a month. Voice mails, web forms, registration at the bike shows... seems like they are out of business and forgot to take the phones down. Haven't received one response. Oh well, I signed up with a Learning Curves course instead.

Local Supplier of Cordura Armoured Jeans

I like Lean Angle Jeans myself. Though they do not have any local or Canadian sellers for that matter so.

Hard break in vs Manufacturer recommended

I sort of followed it but I reduced the time between the "tiers" and opened the engine up a bit. I'd have to think with how advanced things are it's anything more than a liability thing.

    Changing Fairings

I can take mine off and put them on in about 30 minutes. If it's your first time, it might take longer if you are trying to memorize/organize what screws and panels go where. It gets easier each time.

    Best Helmet Selection in TO

Buying outside of Canada made sense before our dollar took the huge dip. I was saving up to a few hundred per piece of gear, and that's factoring in duty/tax/shipping. I don't mind supporting local businesses but there is limits to everything, as I am not a charity. If the difference is just...

Kawasaki Green. Love it or hate it?

I'm not a fan of Kawi Green to be honest. I have a Pearl White Kawi atm but I would have loved Burnt Orange if it was available at the time of my purchase.

When are you taking your bikes out?

I'll probably be waiting till early April. Besides, my bike is still in pieces (still working on my headlight assembly when I can find the time to do it between work and school).

    I Saw You: V.2.0

I love winter but not at today's temps -- I saw someone on the QEW Westbound taking the Islington off-ramp today in the afternoon, on my way home from the Tesla P85D test drive (it was super fun launching in insane mode btw!). Gotta give you credit for riding in today's blisteringly cold...

    TD Insurance rate hikes?

Mine went up almost a hundred dollars since last year. I know I am exaggerating a bit but it's like there is no incentive to be a good rider/driver. My car policy went up $700 with them as well; zero accidents, zero tickets and zero claims, ever. I switched my policy to Bel-Air and saved...

    Anyone miss riding yet?

No, I don't and that's a personal preference of mine. But my car is a hell of a lot easier to wash and clean than my motorcycle is; maybe it's the colour scheme (white) but that **** shows after a good rain and it gets everywhere. Being a person who doesn't do it half-assed, quick doesn't...

    Anyone miss riding yet?

I didn't say it couldn't; I spoke for my experiences where it was more than just a couple of water spots. Nor did I imply that a dual sport is supposed to be covered in mud; the picture he posted shows one that apparently did and it's not a surprise that it would have mud on it. I don't...

    Anyone miss riding yet?

Hey, don't be careful, present yourself as you want to be seen. Up and over, that's where that one went. As far as your suggestion, I think I'll stick to my not intentionally riding in the rain bit, seems like a more logical solution than to buy a dualsport bike that I would never put to full...
