    Quietest helmet?

+1 My Soumy Apex was quiet for a while (coming for a cheap CKX modular), but now it's just as loud as anything. If you are going to spend money on a helmet, spend it on fit, weight and aerodynamics. For sound control, earplugs are recommended. If you like listening to a bit of music or the...

    Head phones/music setup

I keep on seeing this suggestion, but I don't get it (mostly because I've never tried one of these setups). How do they actually block out highway wind noise compared to ear buds? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Question about mods

Don't forget to re-register the bike in the new colour, or just register it as "multi coloured" so you won't have to worry about registration again if you ever get sick of pink. Just takes a few minutes at a Service Ontario location and a few bucks (I think $10?). And +1 on not painting...

What other accessories and gears are worth getting?

Battery tender Jr. On sale this week at Canadian Tire for $29.99. Also consider front and rear stands for maintenance and storing. Some front stands can be converted from lifting from the bottom of the forks to lifting from the steering stem. Good idea if you even need to work on the forks...

    Who's going to the show?

It's a decent fix for bikes after being stuck looking online all winter, but there was a lot of over priced items there. Some items were double the price of in store, like one vendor selling a cargo net for $15 and in Royal it costs $9 minus the $15 to get into the place. Oh well, at least I...

Manufacturer motorcycle show is moving both place and date

I believe Kawasaki opted out because of some sort of feud. Not 100% sure about this, but the news was something along those lines. They were at the Supershow in January. This move should mean more and better parking. Excellent!

    New or used Honda CBR125?

Lol yeah kind of confusing. I took my 09' 125 on the highway all the time. No problems here. I also had a lot more leg room on that then the new gen ninja 250, where my knees were up against the uncomfortable edges of the gas tank. The pre gen ninja 250 is different though. Comfy with power to...

IMO, I can't get enough of the Konika Minolta CBR. White with a black lower, and a splash of blue to top it off. Something to think about.

Newbie rider questions(motorcross armor and starter bike)

It's easy to get bored of any small displacement bike if all you do is ride in a straight line... I currently have both bikes with the cbr 125 for sale, but only because I got the ninja 250 for free and it shows it's age (1995 with apparently a few drops) so I wouldn't get much for it. The 125...

Opinion on USED NINJA 250 prices.

Bring somebody with experience with you when you look at bikes to make sure you don't get burned with a damaged bike. Cracked fairings could mean nothing, but they could also lead to big problems (bent frames, mounts, etc...).

    recommendations for reasonably priced locksmith?

x2 Doesn't hurt to have extras, and duplicates are much cheaper to get than having us locksmiths make one from just the lock.

    recommendations for reasonably priced locksmith?

The ignition sometimes only has the first half of the tumblers, while the rest of the locks (gas cap, seat, helmet, etc...) contain the last few tumblers. Most cars do this. I haven't worked on many bikes so I'm not sure about them.

    recommendations for reasonably priced locksmith?

What's the year and model of bike? *edit* n/m found it. There isn't a key code for your bike, so you will have to go the route of somebody making a key from the locks on your bike. And $20 is a killer deal. Just make sure it's $20 flat, and it doesn't start at $20 and go up from there.

    Rider down

Bad area for jay-walking. All vehicles race up this stretch, zipping across lanes just to get in front to get on the highway. Meanwhile people are constantly running across the road here trying to avoid the center crosswalk zone as it would just slow them down. I'm kind of surprised more...
