I got about 1000km in this past weekend, about 200km of that at -12c Friday morning. Every km of that was worth it. Sure, I'm bundled up; sure, I had thick gloves on for part of it; but every turn of the wheel is bliss.

A lot of people come in for a month, do their project, and get out. Some stick around. I had a 10x20 workshop for $350/month, plus about $15-$20/month for hydro. I don't have a garage where I can work on my stuff, so this is perfect for me.

My-storage.ca has workshop spaces available for month-to-month billing. Heated floors, your own breaker panel and outlets. They have several locations. I rent a large space from them up by the airport and it is like my second home.

As far as we know. Heck, they could have stuffed 4 motorcycle tires on the testing truck for all we know. Seems unlikely, but whatever. They're certainly better than summer tires in winter (from personal experience), and we in Ontario don't have a legal requirement for certified winter tires...

Unfortunately, if the motorcycle is registered south of Parry Sound (roughly), there is a steep fine for having studded tires. Technically, even north of Parry Sound, generic self tapping stainless screws would also be illegal.
