    7" Headlight conversion to LED

Hey GTAM, I'm trying to swap my stock halogen 7" headlight on my SV650 (naked model) over to an LED housing with a cool halo ring: See Here. Plug and play with the H4 works beautifully, however, my stock mounting bracket will not support the new light at all. They do sell mounting brackets on...

    Learning to wheelie...

Hey guys. I've been watching lots of youtube videos and reading articles about wheeling and how to get started with it. I'm not looking to do mile long wheelies, just get the wheel up a couple feet and drop it back down. I guess i have step 1 down, I am comfortable doing wheelies on bicycles...

Is a 6 foot trailer long enough?

Wheelbase is only about 4'10". That's why I'm a bit confused as to whether it will fit.

Is a 6 foot trailer long enough?

Picking up an SV650 on Thursday evening. A buddy of mine has a 6 foot long utility trailer. His brother, who used to have a SS, said it is long enough for a bike. Just looked it up and a SV650 is 6'9" long. Should I just rent a motorcycle trailer from uhaul and save the trouble? Or is loading...

MTO Response to questions about HOV lanes, lane filtering and lane splitting

I didn't call Minister Del Duca a her. I was referring to the woman who I am currently corresponding with, a Director in the MTO who actually does happen to be female. Yes, I will emphasize that she has changed my vocabulary because there is a defined difference between the two. However, the...

MTO Response to questions about HOV lanes, lane filtering and lane splitting

I'm going to respond reminding her that Ontario is the only place where motorcycles can't use the HOV lanes in North America. They really don't seem to care about info outside of North America, so we need to lean heavily on California for lane-splitting and BC for HOV lane usage. I think I can...

MTO Response to questions about HOV lanes, lane filtering and lane splitting

Lane splitting is something that won't happen soon, I agree. But do you really think we can't get access to HOV lanes? We are the only place in North America that doesn't allow it.

MTO Response to questions about HOV lanes, lane filtering and lane splitting

Thanks, It was just a quick stab in the dark. Reddit users have had good suggestions and I think I'm going to put together a response tonight and perhaps post it for everyone to critique (that may or may not be a **** show lol). Anyways, I do have some studies to quote so that works. The HOV...

MTO Response to questions about HOV lanes, lane filtering and lane splitting

Yeah I am actually going to quote the Berkeley study in my response. Putting it together now. I know I might not win the filtering argument yet, but maybe I can get the wheels rolling on it. I think we can change their minds on the HOV though

MTO Response to questions about HOV lanes, lane filtering and lane splitting

This has been posted on reddit as well... /r/motorcycles I sent an email to the MTO (Ministry of Transportation - Ontario) asking why provincial HOV lanes do not allow motorcycles with only 1 person on them. Currently, HOV lanes require two people per vehicle and it doesn't matter what vehicle...

After riding my friends Ninja 300 for a season, ready to get my own wheels...

Just have the first of many quotes rolling in, and Andy Singh at DT looks like he'll be taking the cake. Pretty much half priced of other quotes (that I thought were reasonable) were giving me. Wow, I am much more excited knowing I can pay closer to $110/month ($1400/year) on an SV650.

Shopped around tons..just trying my luck

I just got a quote with Andy Singh at DT for the 08 Ninja 650R. Full coverage is $2300 for me, but I have my full M since last summer. I'm also 24. The $2300 was still like $2000-3000 less than some other companies. Also the 650R incurred a sport bike surcharge. I ran a quote with an SV650 and...
