Get insurance first. Then just get a friend to ride it back for you - it's not a great distance. I would just slap on a plate from another bike. The odds of getting pulled over, or even having your plate run, in that short distance is very unlikely.

What an ignorant statement. Yeah, once you hit 50 years old and you ride a cruiser you no longer enjoy curvy roads. Sometimes it's better just to keep your mouth shut than to come off looking like an idiot.

I think you should mention that 129 has a long stretch of gravel road on the south end. This may be fine for your ADV guys but those on cruisers may opt not to have to endure that much gravel.

I was in Texas on business a couple of months ago and rented a Harley. Only had time to do one of the sisters. Awesome road with lots of restaurants geared towards bikers. It would take less than a day to ride all 3 sisters and you probably would only need 2 or 3 nights in Hill Country to see...

Lots of radar enforcement around Musselman's Lake this year. Already seen them nab a few bikes so best to keep your speed down around there.

You're an ironman for doing all the distance in one day on a Heritage! I've been wanting to do one of these long trips in a while but the thought of slabbing it on a vrod was not something I wanted to do. I'm picking up an FLHX next year and look forward to some long distance rides.

If you're headed into the Muskoka's why not skip the 507 an go Rosseau through Huntsville and then around the Lake of Bays. I, personally, hate coming home through Peterborough 115 to 401 so I'd probably 35 down through Coboconk/Balsam and then 48.
