good tip! i just got the socket... gonna try doing it tomorrow without any support... right now the rear wheel is on rear stand... do u recommend putting it on kick stand or leave it on rear stand?

yeah absolutely right: bolt is 20mm but the nut is bigger. i just removed all the other nuts except for this center one that we're talking about which i'll head to canadian tire for and get the right socket... thanks guys u all have been very helpful.

well the broken bolt is for the footrest bracket (which attaches to this bracket but it's not in the way)... doesn't affect anything in replacing this bracket that we're talking about. but yes it's preventing me to attach the final footrest bracket.

like i said i have a brand new bracket i don't care about that broken bolt anymore. that's why i'm replacing it cause i have the new bracket lol.

i actually do not see that nut on this link! shows the bracket but not that center bolt and nut! or am i missing it?

lmao yes! u have no idea what i went through to try to use the reverse bits to get that broken bolt off.. didn't work... now the bit is stuck there there's no way u can drill it out without damaging the thread. maybe a seriously skilled person MIGHT be able to do it but i alreayd ordered the...

this is starting to make sense now! if you look at that center nut, all i have to do is remove it, ... then it's only the other two bottom and top smaller nuts (bottom one is a black one, top is silver) that i have to remove! making sense now. u guys need more detailed pics?

Okay so yeah I'm not changing the whole swingarm its just that bracket that footrests attaches to.. if you look at my original post, click on that link and see what part number I'm talkin about you'll see exactly what I mean. Really appreciate this

i think we have come to a conclusion that it's better to pay the price and get a proper set of V35s! lol

If I see it's a hassle to install a quick release myself I'll just buy the v35. I don't want a stupid permanent case bolted there. I wanna be able to release and take my lauggage wih me lol.
