Dont have it here, but don't think it is, it has full padding and liner in it. The novelty ones are just a skull cap. And not sure if it means anything but i bought it a GP bikes, i don't think the sell novelty helmets there??

No, the only thing on the helemt is the DOT stamp on the back of the helmet, it's clear as day.

Yep, this is the section he referred to in his magical safety book. It's ambiguous.... section 2 refers to section 1, so the list in section 2 applies to a motorcycle or bicycle, the question is does the helmet have to be A-E or just one of those things?? How do you know which one of those...

Tried doing a search and couldnt find anything on this. A cop gave me a ticket yesterday because my open face helmet was DOT only, he said it needed to be CSA, Snell and a number of other things for it to be legal. Can't remember the others, he showed me the book, and they indicated A, B, C, D...

hmmm, ok, didn't know that was the reason for slack is because of the suspension. I always thought you needed that amount of slack to give the tranny and rear sprocket some play so it doesn't get hammered when you get on the throttle.

What do you mean by kinking the chain when riveting? Ya the front sprockets fine, I got it with 1500k, prob put on another 1000 since then, still looks new and no apparant damage from when the last chain broke off.

Anyone have any experience or knowledge of powder coating? I have a few areas on my bike that were powder coated and are literally peeling off like a sheet of paper.

I installed a new chain on my bike, it's a custom so there's no year or model, and set it up with the standard amount of slack, within an inch top to bottom, but i'm finding now that the bike is very jerky/jumpy when in gear at low/rolling speeds, or in gear at low rpm/idle. So since it's a...

It's a hard tail so no rear suspension. I'm thinking it was the master link too, probably wasn't installed correctly, i just dont see like a factory sealed link coming apart, unless it was a sh*t chain.

Thats the problem, i have no idea as i lost the chain, f-ing thing went flying off, I'm just lucky it didn't slash my leg or lock up the rear wheel or something.

Hmmm ok, i'll keep those points in check when i put the new one on, but when i put a chain on i'm pretty thorough so it won't have an issue.

A split link? As in 2 master links on the same chain? Not that i'm aware of.
