Re: GTA area dirt / gravel riding routes and tracks plus GPX viewer links
And he ditched me yesterday to ride with a bunch of old guys in hi-viz gear :)
Ok folks, who's coming to ride tomorrow? Hockley Valley parking lot at 10:00 start, ride up to Creemore for lunch and then back at that parking lot by probably around 5:00. It's going to be a spectacular day for riding tomorrow. So far:
alon - KTM 530
Nam - miracle Honda 500
diego - KTM 500...

Nice pictures mike - looks like you had a blast. Come back and ride the routes on Tuesday with some of us, big and small bikes. We must have just missed you guys in Creemore, I think we got there at about 1:45 or maybe even 2:00 and we ended up running into two guys I know: Scott and Adam with a...
You're not going to die but the recent rains and other weather have created some new and interesting challenges, mostly hidden by slippery fallen leaves and a few new downed trees - today's ride certainly tired me out and it was a slow pace compared to previous rides.
looks like its its a...
I'm not only 6'3" but actually long legged for my height and when I moved from my 990AdvR to my 1190, I was actually somewhat disappointed that the footpeg to seat distance had been decreased on the 1190 to make it more friendly for those not as tall as us. There is a plethora of seat options...
Haha, yeah, sorry - rough start this morning and a few fellow riders have dropped off from today's ride. Looks like two of us are doing the Hockley - Creemore routes today. I'm hoping to leave home within the next twenty minutes and head up there so realistically, it's probably an 11:30 start...
1- maintenance is a piece of cake. 24,000 km valve adjustments; fuel tanks come off for that but it's easy otherwise. Oil changes are no problem and www.tuneecu.com allows you to load Ecuador maps and adjust other functions easily by yourself. The bike is highly intuitive in terms of its design...
Yeah - I just noticed that on odsc and asked where they're planning to ride? My friend for the oak ridges trails is out, not riding tomorrow so I'm doing the Orangeville Creemore aggressive routes with at least two other guys unless Phil, Bruce, etc from the odsc group are doing something else...
I haven't heard from my friend about riding tomorrow - he's the one who knows this oak ridges trail so look for an update to this thread late tonight or early tomorrow morning.
The new Africa twin is in fact coming to Canada and I'm excited given what I've seen and read but compared to the current KTM 1190 adventure R:
1- it's only a few pounds lighter yet only has 100hp vs the KTM's 150
2- it actually has more suspension travel and ground clearance than the KTM 1190...
Maybe be i'll ride both Monday and Tuesday but as it stands, Tuesday is the preferred day as I've got a friend with an 1190adv who wants to join and he's taking the day off for it.
I've not done this trail before but it goes from the zoo all the way out to pontypool, past haugens and I guess it's part of the Bethany ride (probably the big bike route). As for time, not too early and it depends on morning temperatures. I'll get confirmation from my friend tomorrow - if he's...
