Depends who you insure with. Some insurance companies don't look at your driving record with a car. So any accidents you get in with a car they don't care about only speeding tickets factor in.

I went to Rosey Toes this past weekend actually for safety. Great service! Ted helped get the motorcycle off the truck and on again after he was done with it. Showed me how to oil the chain and I had a few laughs while I was there. Costed $40. If you can take it there I'd recommend it.

Sounds very fishy. The UVIP is required by law but you come across people all the time who don't have it. If you are still going to see (I wouldn't based on responses) be sure to really check out the bike. Chances are maintenance hasn't been done as it should have been. Of course as mentioned do...

I found the problem forum, the cable for the high beam isn't connected to the switch, as can be seen in the pic below. I used some electrical tape to test out the connection and rule everything else out. The electrical tape held and the high beam works. It appears to be a simple soldering job...

Thanks for the tip @shewie I'll check that out too, that also sounds like a likely culprit. @CruisnGrrl I thought of it, so I had swapped out the low beam bulb (and assembly) with the high beam bulb and still nothing.

Going to check it when I check the switch and wiring. It's a single fuse that regulates both the low beam and high beam. However, I'm thinking if maybe there's only a small fractures if only the high beam wouldn't work. I could be wrong but I figure it wouldn't hurt to try. @CruisnGrrl yeah...
