Looks like it would work. To be sure as other have said, verify with wiring diagrams in the manual for the speed and tach wires. The manual is available online for download. I have seen a video on youtube with the same indicator installed on this bike.

08 z1 the tach and speedo are electronic. Nothing other than wires going to gauges.

Saw this on CP24, reported the rider had head and leg injuries. GWS.
