I can't remember the name. It was on the main drag by the lake. I was an old grey/brown, weathered wood place. Across the street, sitting up on top of a small hill, was a white hotel and another restaurant. I remember that the pickeral was delicious.

Warm up the bike. Change the oil. Cover it. When the temperature goes back above 8C in a few days, take off the cover and go for a ride. :D

I did my last ride, for the next little bit, a couple of days ago. There is forecast for snow for the next week. When it clears up, the cover will come off again.

My ZR7s was called Frankenturkey. After I rebuilt the bike without a fairing after I rear ended a flying turkey at 120kmph. My next bike was called The Gurl. It wasa camoflaged Ural sidecar. After the Ural, I picked up an FZ1. Its name is Stupid...

The one model can have the sidecar taken off and ridden without it. Also, all Urals come with a center stand on the bike. A side stand should be able to be modded up fairly easily.

Yah, that is the thing I miss the most about the Ural, was exploring all the backroads I use to take. Now when I want to do those same roads, I just take my FZ1 and go slower.

The Retro Ural model can be ridden without the sidecar attached. It is the only model that has/had telescopic front forks. Almost all the other models have leading link front forks that make driving with a sidecar easier. Without the sidecar attached, leading link suspension makes the handling...

Depends on the model. There use to be only one model that you could ride without the sidecar. It is the only one that didn't have a shaft drive running to the sidecar wheel AND it had regular telescopic front forks. But get your wallet out, I forgot to mention that my 2008 was roughly $16,000...

I rode a 2008 Ural Gear Up for a couple of years. Only used the 2 wheeled drive twice and it didn't really help getting me out of either situation. But I eventually switched back to a 2 wheeled ride, when I got tired of taking so long to get anywhere. :D You can always talk to Ken at Old Vintage...

I know what you mean. I didn't have water crossing in my off-road adventures. But getting through the road(s) without dying was my first concern. That and I didn't bring a photographer with me. :D
