    I Saw You: V.2.0

Saw 4 Asshats on supersports southbound on Hwy 10 on Monday evening. Great job lane splitting and speeding. Very safe in cottage country traffic.

Picking up and talking to chicks on bicycles and scooters downtown.

LOL, that is hilarious. My second car, in 1978, was a 1970 VW Camper. Wasn't pristine. Had the Fred Flinstone floor on the passenger side, bald front tires, no heat to the windshield. It was great. :)

    Full face helmet and glasses

I've never had a problem. Taking the glasses off before removing the helmet is not that big of a deal. I don't have a problem fitting the glasses, but then I wear a XXXL helmet. Maybe there is extra room in there for the arms of the specs. Wire frame glasses and not quite, coke bottle bottom...

Quit our jobs, sold our home and everything in it, gone riding...

That picture reminds me of my trip to Cuba about 10 years ago. We stayed, roughly, in the area you are about to enter. I had a great time there. After 4 days, I was trying to figure out how I could make a living there, so that I could stay. I spent a day travelling with a man who looked almost...

    Can-Am Spyder riders.

I used to have an Ural sidecar. My son and I and camping equipment did a ride out to Cape Breton and Gaspe a few years ago. While riding on 132 around Gaspe we came across a Spyder. They were riding 2 up, a father and his young daughter. I was in a loaded up Ural (roughly 1300lbs @ 38hp engine)...

    Which GPS?

Microsoft Streets and Trips, on my home computer. Printouts in my tank bag is my GPS. Or if I am on a long trip, I plan my trip at the hotel and write the directions for the next day on a napkin and put that in my tank bag. In 7 years, I've only taken a wrong turn once and that was a fun ride to...

    forks of the credit

I first explored the ALL the roads around here with my Ural. But then it got replaced by Stupid (my Bumble Bee coloured FZ1). And I have been on almost all the same roads with the FZ1. They were all interesting in their own ways, but some of them are just too dicey to try more than once. :D The...

    forks of the credit

CR 9 into Creemore is one of my favorite roads.

    forks of the credit

It is about 40kms to Creemore from my house in Orangeville. IF, I just head out Hockley and go straight up Airport. A lunch ride to Creemore usually takes me about 200kms round trip, sticking with the paved roads. After years of zig zagging all the paved roads between Orangeville and Creemore, I...

Who The Hell Is "Intact" Insurance? They Raise My Rate $200

I'm an olde farte, with a mostly clean record and I don't live in the GTA. That must explain why my insurance went down by $150/year after Intact took over. The bike is a 2003 FZ1. It had been about $900/year up until this year, then it dropped to about $750 plus I can pay it in installments.

I have been cut off 3 times, road hours 5!

I seldom get cutoff for a couple of reasons. Partly, because I don't live in the GTA, so most of my roads are only 2 lanes. Then, when in an environment where the possibility exists, I ride accordingly and adjust to the conditions as they develop. Then, there is also the fact that I discovered...

I have been cut off 3 times, road hours 5!

I almost never ride the blocking position exclusively, if I am riding by myself. I ride in whatever part of the lane gives me the best view ahead and the most flexibility to get out of any trouble for the conditions. And never ever ride for any length of time in anybody's blind spot.

PM Minidisco, he is the captain of the Motosafety Crew. I believe that they are still looking for more crew this year.

Ride to Conquer Cancer (RCC) 2012: June 8-10

The Motosafety Crew, ride motorcycles to facilitate the safety of the bicycle riders. The crew mostly works at the controlled and uncontrolled intersections that the cyclists have to pass through. When the last cyclist passes, you hope on your motorcycles and ride ahead to the next needed hazard.

    Motorcycle Camping

I also picked up a Wanderer 2 from MEC but I have the fitted gound sheet and an extra tarp as well. It doesn't take up much space, but it is a bit heavy. Not a problem on my bike since it is space, not weight, that is at a premium. I have used it regularly for the last 4 years. I have always had...

I believe that 'they' say there is a mountain in Hamilton. :D

    So.... Who's Riding This Week????

Rode to work at lunchtime on Friday. Too much going on on Saturday to get out much. Went for a ride around "the Block" this afternoon. The Block is Hockley Valley Rd/Airport Rd/Mono Centre Rd/Hwy 10. It was dry and the breeze was actually warm on Hockley. The sand on the road was just a hint of...
