    KTM Super Duke GT

Awesome? Quite oridnary actually, but I've owned an FJR 1300, with 99 lbs ft torque, ...forget what my old V-max's torque figure was, but it was pretty close to that, so you'll excuse me if I think there's nothing new here, because I know, that in the real world, all those big spec sheet...

    KTM Super Duke GT

"Touring the KTM way"...whatever. I agree, it's just another big bore, electronic rider aid laden sport/"sport adventure" touring bike to match up against the Multi12, and Beemer 1000XR like you said, and maybe even the Kawi Ninja 1000 ST, Connie 1400, FJR1300, and BMW r12rs/K1300s...

    Kawasaki disappointed me :(

All efi idling issues should be so simple to adjust: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kl05wDgQX30 Don't know how they do this, but if it works, it's actually something I wish I had...no TB sync...no air bleed adjust./sync...no Co adjust...no tps reset...just a simple knob. If that's low tech...

Article: Liquidation Of 25 Million Of Motorcycles And Motorcycle Parts. Everything Mu

Umm,.... there's absolutely *nothing* misleading about that ad, if it even is an actual ad from Dixie. It states quite clearly "parts" in the copy, twice actually, which you left out in your "quote" above, and also quite clearly, paraphrasing here, "no bikes, just parts" in the video. Nothing...

    Kawasaki disappointed me :(

Really? You are. Exhausts are a major part of a bike's tuning/how it runs. Usually, when you add a slip on or full system, you need to add fuel to the mixture so it doesn't run lean. If it started happening recently it could mean something simple like you need new plugs or a new air filter...

    Canada's motorcycle returns/exchanges?

I have an all black rain suit that has reflective piping and logos on it, and I've never had a problem riding in the rain while wearing it. Hi viz is just a misguided fad; a fashion statement more than anything else. Don't get brow beat over it by people who think they are smart and you are...

bought a Harley but too many problems

?What? How do you figure that? That's a load of crap, probably from yet another HD expert who has no experience at all with owning and operating a HD but spouts off at the mouth with an opinion based on assumptions and or hate. You want a ticking time bomb?...anything from Japan is crap. Used...

    Love my TPMS

Ohhh..uncomfortable...heaven forbid...but if comfort is your goal, motorcycling may be the wrong gig for you. The thing is, nothing bad happened. You realised something was up, and you pulled over or slowed down, and had plenty of time to figure things out and react. Tubeless tires don't...

And also when you are already hundreds of kilometers from home. ;)

    Love my TPMS

More overkill IMO. When tubless tires get punctured, they release air slowly and give the rider plenty of warning that something's not right, by the poor/changed handling. I've had numeous punctures and even tires that loss air during a ride, and was always able to tell something was up without...

Motorcycle gear - Who wears all black?

This is a very disrespectful post, you should ask a moderator to remove it at once. You show very poor judgement and certainly no class posting this. That is a human being, not some joke.

    top 10 motorcycle engines

In this POS list that means SFA, no. But among the cognoscenti, yes. They know what is a classic and innovative engine, like for example a JAP engine in a Brough Superior, or an Edward Turner P-650 twin in a Triumph, not some air-cooled, Japanese in-line four from the 70's or 80's, that's for...

    top 10 motorcycle engines

That's a pretty narrow and misguided perspective IMO. British twins created an industry that lasted for many decades and employed multiple thousands on at least 2 continents. British twins are highly desirable to this day. Try finding a good example for less than what the bike sold for when new...

    top 10 motorcycle engines

Hmmm, a list of "innovative" engines that is 70% Japanese is somewhat suspect to say the least as they rarely innovate much. Copy, yup...improve..no doubt, but innovate? Nope. Even the #1 engine on that list was a tweaking of an established architecture and technologies, i.e. L-twin lay out...

Motorcycle gear - Who wears all black?

Want to be seen, use a simple pure white helmet and wear whatever colour gear you like. Hi vis doesn't work as well when you're sitting behind a fairing or a top box or wearing a black helmet, because it can't be seen as easily as a white helmet which is very visible no matter what type of bike...

First and last time I'll ever let someone else change my oil

I had 2 Yammies with cartridge type filters: '89 V-max where I had to cut the top of the long oil filter tube bolt that goes through the filter and holds the housing on as it was so seized it would not budge, forcing me to buy a new oil filter tube bolt; '89 FJ1200 where the filter housing cut...

Four motorcyclists charged for doing 192km/hr on the 404

That's why people are supposed to do a shoulder check *before they even put their signal on*, then signal if safe, i.e no one approaching/passing/too close, *then shoulder check again*, then change lanes..."in safe", not just toss a signal on and change lanes like many if not most it seems at...

First and last time I'll ever let someone else change my oil

At least your V-11 had an oil filter. From what I gather, the older ones have no filters, just mesh/screens, and you need to drop the pan and change oil like every 2K or so. :)
