Here's what happened today: called insurance company. she said 'take it in and decide from there, nothing will go on file until you proceed'. So i took it to the collision reporting station, where the officer rightly noted that there will be a serious cost to the the rewiring of all the lights...
My friend owns the state farm. I'm calling tomorrow to see what's best to do. Was thinking I would take it to a shop and get a quick estimate, and if it IS over $1000, taking it to the collision centre. Hopefully this is legal.
They picked it back up and it's got some damage, the left handle is slightly bent (any idea the cost?) but not too bad. Some cosmetic stuff. But I didn't really know who to call? I called the police and they said if it's over $1000 damage you have to report it. I said, "it's a hit and run"...
Was about to do my first oil change on my bike today, and got two of the 3 bolts off to get at the engine and then the third one I saw was stripped. Bike is used. What the hell should I do? I tried putting a rubber band into the mangled bolt to try to get leverage but it didn't work.
My brother knows quite a bit about bikes, but mostly older ones. He said never to coast with the clutch pulled in and no throttle (ie, idling while going down a hill or coasting to a light) as the chain can catch. is this true?
I've got some rattle in my windshield where it meets the rest of the fairing (2008 CBR). I've tightened the bolts but i can't make it stop. putting my finger on it gently makes it sound beautiful. is there some sort of silicone or spray or injection that people use to dampen it?
stuck between the tank and seat. it was double-length so it would hang out 1-ticket length, and the other bit was slid down inside the seat to hold. clearly he knew what he was doing.
On street parking. my neighborhood has permits for parking (those big window stick ons). this morning i woke to find my bike (which i usually park in the back of the driveway) had a ticket on it for parking without a permit. i am a bit shocked - how the F am i going to keep a permit on my...
are they all the same? is the one for cars the same as the one for bikes, and will a regular commuting bike guy like me notice the difference between the 3 and 4? my cbr125 recommends 3 or 4.
I have a cbr 125 and my fluid is low. Can i just unscrew the cap and add more? also, are all dot 4 brake fluids the same? (ie - ones for cars are the same as for bikes?)
thanks
I have a honda cbr 125 (i'm not going to include the 'r' that accompanies those numbers because... lets be real) and I need a cover and some tires. but also, someone i can rely on for tune ups/questions/oil change etc.
Thanks for all the feedback. I'll push it a bit higher knowing there's a limiter. And I'll duck off the highway at certain points. That stretch along the lakeshore past the ex is kinda nice
I had a honda interceptor 500 in another life. I bought the 125 to commute with. but to commute i have to take the gardiner. this bike is at 9000rpm at 100km/h. i'm only 160lbs. am i destroying this bike? i'm afraid to push it any higher because it feels like it'll explode. anyone with...
