    Why Do You Ride?

I better stop riding then, I hate having to talk to people.

Picking up and talking to chicks on bicycles and scooters downtown.

But... my video games are awesome and I don't have to ask for the time because I have a nifty smartphone. Then again I'm not riding my bike to pick up chicks so who gives a **** what they think about my games, my bike, my "below average" looks or the time. I do find it funny though that you...

    Fuel gauge never full

I had the visor down when I was looking down to prevent that from happening, also I wasn't relying on the gauge as I was filling up; the key was not even in the ignition since I used it to open the tank. It's after when I finish and start her back up that I look at the gauge.

    Fuel gauge never full

2012 Ninja 250. I've been noticing since I got the bike that the fuel gauge never goes to full; at first I though I just wasn't putting in enough gas to have it be full but the last two fill ups I did I was looking straight into the fuel tank as I was filling it and I didn't stop until it was...

Post up PICS of members bikes?

Red Kawasaki Ninja 2012 Replaced the front lights with Proton LED flush mounts and the taillight/rear turn signals with an LED integrated back light yesterday and washed it today so perfect time to take pictures. Sliders are in the mail, and the phone/gps mount is on back order :P At some...

    Why Do You Ride?

Been on bicycles since I was 4 years old until early 20's then I got fat... Got my learners permit for car but my instructor was an angry Russian dude that stressed me out too much so I quit, never really had an interest in cars anyway. Wanted a motorcycle for years but either money was too...

    Lowsided my bike

Plenty and really the only part to worry about it is one or two pieces on the inside of the fairing that connect the front fairing to the cowl. saw a guy bust that in a vid, so if you want to be absolutely safe take the cowl and front fairings off as one piece and THEN separate them, the rest...

Ocasional rough start, sometimes slow to get going and other related questions

Huzzah! After the warmup and adjustment After getting to work (early for a change :P) Although the ride to work this morning was not as long as the ride home yesterday, I'm happy that it stayed stable. The going from a stop or light and starting slow seemed to occur less too though that...

Ocasional rough start, sometimes slow to get going and other related questions

Well, Like I said in the original post I got it when it was at 700 km, and according to the sales guy at GP the guy didn't even ride it to the store he brought it in on a truck so my guess is he rode it for a while found out it wasn't for him and then stored it for the winter. I'll definitely...

Ocasional rough start, sometimes slow to get going and other related questions

I'll start with the idle rpm adjustment and decide where to go from there. Not sure how dirty I want to get, I'm more of a computer and electronics guy so for example I'll be changing my front turn signals to proton LED lights, getting rid of the back turn signals and replacing my stop light...

Ocasional rough start, sometimes slow to get going and other related questions

Not sure why the book says 40 km in 6th but I posted a picture of the page it says that on in my reply to Slap. For the starting I may have explained myself wrong, whenever I start the bike the choke is completely off; normally it goes to idle and then I turn the choke all the way on and let it...

    post bike crash?

Thinking critically and asking questions, regardless of whether they are "stupid" or not, are two different things. Forums are meant for questions, discussions, shooting the **** and the occasional flame war. Inexperienced riders have to learn somewhere and that learning is done both on and...

Ocasional rough start, sometimes slow to get going and other related questions

I am fairly certain I am in first, I always double check when I'm stopped and I can usually tell since I can push down a lot on the shifter when it's not in first and that usually means a bit of dicking around to finally get it to go down to first when not moving, also I sometimes go to neutral...

Ocasional rough start, sometimes slow to get going and other related questions

2012 Kawasaki 250 I've been riding for about a month now, just got over the 1000 km mark this week (it was at 700 km when I got it.) so my bike is now officially broken in. Even went ahead and changed my oil, oil filter and O rings last night. Once in a while I will start up the bike and...

    Lowsided my bike

Not sure if I am mechanically inclined enough to touch the engine with actual tools. If I go to a place like Kahuna with that would they install it for me? (for a fee of course) Btw I got a similar hole when I low sided mine and I was able to pop that piece back into place so it's only really...

$5 Weather Proof USB Power Outlet on sale at Princess Auto until Dec 31 2011

Ok, now I know why Blue said group together to buy those 2 port USB; $30 shipping and handling for up to 3 of them, $50 if you get 4-6 and then they add $25 for every subsequent slice of 3. That is a bit nuts Did a bit of looking around and found it here...

    Lowsided my bike

Wish I had known about sliders before I low sided mine. I found out the other day after taking off the fairing to fix my turn signals that the back left fairing on mine is actually cracked and split into two pieces, one piece only holding on due to two snap-ins. That said, any recommendations...

$5 Weather Proof USB Power Outlet on sale at Princess Auto until Dec 31 2011

I can follow it and understand what to do even at a glance. That doesn't mean I wouldn't prefer to make my life simpler and faster by throwing a bit more money at it.

$5 Weather Proof USB Power Outlet on sale at Princess Auto until Dec 31 2011

I agree it's a bit on the expensive side yes but this one doesn't need a relay or any fuses that you have to track down/replace if it blows, also each cable is programmable for both voltage and activation meaning that you could install a switch that turns them on or off based on your needs. It...
