    REV'IT Bomber gloves size XXL

Selling a pair of REV'IT Bomber gloves, size XXL. They're great short-cuff summer gloves, good perf for warm weather, air vents on the fingers. Goat skin leather makes it really comfortable. Good level of protection too, it's got a hard palm slider and hard knuckles. Selling because these were...

WTB: your old full-face/modular/dualsport helmet (size XL-XXL)

I'm traveling to Asia and plan on renting a bike to tour around - would like to bring a helmet that's (a) cheap and (b) I won't cry over if it gets "lost". Everything will be low speed, doesn't need to be Snell compliant, just looking for something cheap and usable. If you've got an old helmet...

Those 600 mile days must have been killer - my comfort zone is more like 600km!

    REV'IT Rebel Jacket - size 54

Selling my REV'IT Rebel black leather jacket, size 54 for $250. Mint condition, lightly used for about half a season. Comes with the original REV'IT armor and full-sleeve warmth liner. I love this jacket, the fit, quality and detail, but I just bought a perforated leather jacket and realized...

Copy of the M Test (M2X) checklist!

Took the test last Friday at Downsview and passed. I got dinged for 10 errors in total, 9 of them being not looking at stuff (guess my head movements weren't obvious enough) and one was not flashing my brakes when downshifting on the 401 offramp at Keele. I could have sworn I made every head...

    Thermal Gear Really Thermal?

Layers are the way to go. You can get some decent Merino wool or T2/T3 base layers at MEC, and then throw some mid-layer fleece or something on top under the jacket. Smartwool (merino) socks are nice too.

FS: AGV Sport Pella Leather Jacket, size 48 (brand new)

Selling a brand-new, never-worn AGV Sport Pella Leather Jacket. Bought this a year ago, but didn't fit well and never ended up wearing it. Looking to sell it rather than have it take up closet space. Size US48. The jacket does fit larger than a 48 in REV'IT or Dainese, so make sure to check...

Soft tie downs and/or extenders in Toronto?

Thanks for all the replies! I've got a set of new ratchet straps as well as a pile of old ones, so getting those aren't a problem. Was mostly worrying about scruffing/scratching. I wouldn't mind grabbing a set of Canyon Dancers - any place near downtown I could grab them?

Soft tie downs and/or extenders in Toronto?

Looking to strap down a VFR800 to a U-Haul trailer this weekend. Anyone recommend where I can get soft tie downs and/or tie down extenders in Toronto? Ideally somewhere easily accessible within the city. Kinda like this: http://www.amazon.com/Soft-Loops-Tie-Down-Straps/dp/B002MYLB1Y Also open...

    Noob Riding errors..plz help

That's totally fair - I kind of threw out an unqualified statement, which is why I said "contextualize". All the lessons in Twist are applicable to the street, of course. I remember reading somewhere about a track instructor saying that proficiency with slow speed maneuvers is a strong...

    Noob Riding errors..plz help

A lot of great advice already given, but here's my $0.02. Work your way up to your limits slowly (literally, slowly). Go into corners slower than you think you need to, and as you get comfortable with your technique and form, slowly increase your entry speed into corners. If you're not managing...

    cabot trail nova scotia

I went last year in the last 12 days of July. I spent a lot of time in New Brunswick and PEI, and only had 2.5 days on the Cabot Trail, which isn't enough in my opinion. If I were to do it again, I'd budget more time in Nova Scotia, and minimize the time in NB, which I found pretty boring. I...

Word of warning for adding Fuel Stabilizer.

Also +1 - last year I rode until Dec 14. Just let the bike sit for the next month or so. If you're really uncomfortable with it just sitting, go start it up and run it for a few minutes every week or two.

Which helmet: Shoei RF1100 or Shoei Qwest

Great find Yukoner - I'm going to order mine soon. I went to GP today and tried both the RF-1100 and the Qwest on - definitely found the Qwest fit me better. The RF-1100 does seem to have a more oval/narrow fit, while the Qwest seemed rounder.
