This is what I had hoped to avoid.. Say the buyer didn't ask him to get a safety and purchased it. He would have had to shell out another XX amount of $ on top of the original purchase to get new tires and safety it.
That happened to me before and I want to avoid it, I want to buy a bike, get it...
Seems a little to good to be true.. if it's as good a deal as it's be advertised to be then it will be gone by the end of the weekend or next week latest.
Speaking of which.. The price of the GSX650F went up! Guess a buyer got him to do a safety and he didn't pass so probably spent more money...
Did you read the description? Guy says it needs some TLC.. doesn't even know what it needs to pass safety and it could be a great cafe racer project.
I'd have to pass on that.. Sounds like to much work to even get it on the road which I do not want to deal with tbh
You mean this one? https://www.kijiji.ca/v-sport-touring/norfolk-county/k75-bmw-cafe-racer/1368879007?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true
Its nice for sure.. Its the 100k+ mileage on it that would scare me unless it was kept in the most pristine condition.. the last bike I got was a '78 and little...
Even a modern 250 would barely make it up to highway speeds... I meant it would be less problematic with a bike with higher cc's.. less throttling, lower revs, overheating.. 650s are the way to go for those.
I'm not nuts on the street.. sure I like to push it a little but nothing crazy.. the...
My previous bike was a 400 and it was great in the city. It got me around to where I needed to go.. yes mostly in traffic but there are some spots on my route where I can open up the throttle a bit.
The big issue was I have family in Hamilton as well as people I visit in Windsor. The Windsor...
I absolutely agree with you.. but for the price it would have to wait for a few months to get the money together.. by then it will probably be gone... OR much cheaper so.. its a gamble I guess
But that's the type I would probably look to get
If anyone does see something that might follow my criteria by all means post the link.. I can go outside of the city but would like to be as close in as possible.
Thanks guys!
Yep that was me with the CB400.. That's the one I was leaning towards too tbh.
It looks clean, the dude that rode it looks kinda boring(no offense to him if he's on here) but that means he probably took good care of it.. and obviously didn't ride it all the time.
I think since I do still have my...
Got into an accident last month.. bike got written off and I got a decent settlement from insurance.
Post on it here: http://www.gtamotorcycle.com/vbforum/showthread.php?205992-Need-some-advice-following-crash-dealing-with-insurance
I got some great advice and insight from people on this site...
This was my first bike and I honestly planned to ride it until it was done..
It probably looks better in person than in the photo.. I got a lot of positive comments on it.. and there were things in the pipeline I had planned still.
Ah well.. I think my days of customizing like that are done...
That's the plan. They could only adjust up to a certain amount without going through the paperwork.. finding receipts.. speaking to another appraiser option...
I'm going to take it and forgo the further headache...
Originally it was just a little north of 1k... I actually spoke to someone with some sense in the last hour and they've added to it now it is a little shy of 2k... which I am more satisfied with... I don't want to deal with this headache anymore!
I truly appreciate all the great advice.. it was...
I am trying to get supporting documents. I've always reached out the the mechanics who've worked on my bike.. all 2 of them.. but they might help vouch for me that my bike was not a bike in "poor" condition. Both mechanics said actually what a nice bike it was.
The speedo was in the process of...
HaHa!
Unfortunatly I am dealing with two different adjusters.. one for my property.. one for my personal injury.
I doubt the property adjuster gives a S how i'm feeling tbh.
