Thanks all - usually there aren't too many tar snakes on the ramps but I am just concerned about the middle of the lane.

When I am taking the on ramp I am always trying to stay away from the tar snakes / middle of the lane ( due to oil that has been collecting there )
For experienced motorcycles, how slippery are those things? Assuming that its not wet - can I be confident when taking the curve?

What do you use to lube the chain? I have been using the lube paste and I seem to be using too much....seems to be flinging around everywhere on my first ride.
Sounds like the outside of the chain doesn't really require lube since some people are wiping it down
Yup I got the Shark Vision-R and there are these inserts that you can remove; I wear oakleys were the glasses ear piece doesn't hook around the ear. That makes it easier to slide into the helmet.
