    Whitby Accident Victim Identified

The "wanna fight" comment was in fact in jest to the post I quoted with regards to it. But if that's the best ya got, so be it. Furthermore, saying "you wanna fight" to anyone, anytime, any place is not even remotely close to a threat. Don't know if you know that or not, but please try again...

Understandable to a degree. SIU does NOT report to the police at all now though. Dash cams would be great, I agree. Would likely cut down on a lot of court time. But then again, some would complain that they are being recorded and watched by "the man".:laughing8:

Yes, I can see it. But look at the rest of the country and show me a better system. And how bout suggestions for a better system??? Training someone for a couple years comes no where close to the experience of someone who worked the job for 30 years.

As far as the seizure of property or your licence or suspension of licence, etc etc before a trial, it happens everyday in criminal investigations.

    Whitby Accident Victim Identified

The problem you face is that the "general" public, meaning a heck of a lot more people than not, are ok with the law, whether it is legit or not. They have no interest in doing 50 over or doing wheelies or whatever. The only chance you would have is to see a new governing party that may see...

    Whitby Accident Victim Identified

Well for starters, there is somethings called professionalism, intergrity, credibility. Perhaps you don't believe in this kind of thing, but many do. Secondly, the final decision is not that of the investigators, but of the director, who is not or has not been a cop. As well SIU...

Yes, that is what SIU does. That is their whole purpose.

I think it is just suggestion. Things went off topic here for a bit. SIU is not investigating the riders actions as much as the officers actions. The actual investigation of finding the rider is still a police investigation. Although they would be working parallel.
